Abstract
Description
本実施形態では、電気光学装置として薄膜トランジスター(TFT:Thin Film Transistor)を備えたアクティブ駆動型の液晶装置を例示する。本実施形態に係る電気光学装置としての液晶装置100の構成について、図1から図3を参照して説明する。図2は、図1の線分H-H’を含み、YZ平面に沿う断面を示している。図2では、図示の便宜上、液晶層に含まれる液晶の大きさや数を実際とは異ならせている。
本実施形態では、電気光学装置としてTFTを備えたアクティブ駆動型の液晶装置を例示する。本実施形態に係る液晶装置200は、第1実施形態の液晶装置100に対して、第1吸着膜および第2吸着膜の平面的な形状を異ならせたものである。以下の説明では、第1実施形態と同一の構成部位に同一の符号を使用して、重複する説明は省略する。

- 前記第2基板は、前記液晶を配向させる第2配向膜と、前記シール材と接して配置されるイオン吸着性の第2吸着膜と、を有し、
前記第2配向膜は、第3蒸着膜と、前記第3蒸着膜と前記液晶層との間に配置される第4蒸着膜と、を含み、
前記第4蒸着膜および前記第2吸着膜は、長軸方向が前記液晶層の厚さ方向と交差するカラムを含み、
前記第2吸着膜の厚さは、前記第4蒸着膜の厚さより厚い、請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の電気光学装置。 - 前記第2基板は、見切り部を有し、
前記第1吸着膜は、平面的に前記見切り部の外側に配置され、
前記第1吸着膜と前記見切り部とは、平面的に重ならない、請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の電気光学装置。 - 前記第1配向膜の一部は、前記第1吸着膜に乗り上げて配置される、請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の電気光学装置。
- 請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の電気光学装置を備える電子機器。
