Abstract
Description
〔実施例1〕
厚み13μmのアルミニウム箔の両面に、LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2を含有する正極活物質層を備える正極を準備した。正極活物質層の主面の寸法は、300mm×100mmであり、正極活物質層の厚みは135μmであった。また、厚み8μmの銅箔の両面に、天然黒鉛を含有する負極活物質層を備える負極を準備した。負極活物質層の主面の寸法は、302mm×102mmであり、負極活物質層の厚みは170μmであった。正極には、図3に示すようにアルミニウム箔が露出した正極活物質層非形成部を設け、負極には、図3に示すように銅箔が露出した負極活物質層非形成部を設けた。
実施例1と同じ正極および負極を準備した。また実施例1と同じセパレータ(すなわち、単層のポリプロピレン多孔質膜;主面の寸法は306mm×104mm、厚み20μm、透気度170秒/100mL)を2枚準備した。
実施例1と同じ正極および負極を準備した。また、アルミナとポリフッ化ビニリデンとを含有する接着層を両面に有するポリプロピレン多孔質膜をセパレータとして2枚準備した。セパレータの主面の寸法は306mm×104mmであり、セパレータの厚みは20μm(接着層2μm+基材16μm+接着層2μm)であり、透気度は170秒/100mLであった。
実施例1と同じ正極および負極を準備した。またアルミナとポリフッ化ビニリデンとを含有する接着層を片面に有するポリプロピレン多孔質膜をセパレータとして2枚準備した。セパレータの主面の寸法は306mm×104mmであり、セパレータの厚みは20μm(基材16μm+接着層2μm)であり、透気度は170秒/100mLであった。
25℃の温度環境下で、各評価用リチウムイオン二次電池に1MPaの圧力を印加し、SOC50%の状態に調整した。その後、2Cの電流値で10秒間定電流放電した。このときの電圧変化量を求め、電圧変化量と電流値から初期抵抗値を算出した。結果を表1に示す。
25℃の温度環境下で、各評価用リチウムイオン二次電池に1MPaの圧力を印加した。この電池に対し、2.5Vから4.25Vまで1Cでの定電流充電と4.25Vから2.5Vまで1Cでの定電流放電を1サイクルとする充放電を100サイクル繰り返した。なお、充放電サイクル間の緩和時間を10分とした。その後、初期抵抗と同様にして、抵抗値を求めた。結果を表1に示す。

- 第1電極、第1セパレータ、第2電極、および第2セパレータがこの順に積層されたセル単位を含む積層電極体と、非水電解液と、を備える非水電解液二次電池であって、
前記第1電極は、第1集電体と、第1活物質層と、を有し、
前記第2電極は、第2集電体と、第2活物質層と、を有し、
前記第1活物質層と、前記第2活物質層とは、対向しており、
前記第1電極の第1活物質層の主面の面積は、前記第2電極の第2活物質層の主面の面積よりも大きく、
前記第1活物質層の中央部に、前記第2活物質層と対向する対向領域が形成されており、
前記第1活物質層の外周縁部に、前記第2活物質層と対向しない非対向領域が形成されており、
前記第1活物質層の対向する一対の端部にある前記非対向領域はそれぞれ、貫通孔を有し、
前記第1セパレータの主面の面積および前記第2セパレータの主面の面積は、前記第1電極の第1活物質層の主面の面積および前記第2電極の第2活物質層の主面の面積よりも大きく、
前記第1セパレータおよび前記第2セパレータの積層された部分が、前記第1活物質層の前記第2活物質層に対向している面にある前記貫通孔の開口部を覆っており、
前記第1セパレータおよび前記第2セパレータは、前記第2活物質層に対向している面とは反対側の第1活物質層の面にある貫通孔の開口部を覆うように、前記貫通孔を有する非対向領域の外側において第2電極側に折り曲げられており、
