当該コネクタと相手側コネクタとの嵌合方向における第1位置において、前記嵌合方向に交差する幅方向に沿って並ぶように配置され、
前記複数の前記突起部は、
前記嵌合方向における第2位置において、前記幅方向に沿って並ぶように配置され、
当該コネクタは、
前記第1位置と当該コネクタの重心位置との前記嵌合方向における距離が、前記第2位置と前記重心位置との前記嵌合方向における距離よりも長い、ように構成される、
基板実装型のコネクタであること。

上記[1]に記載のコネクタにおいて、
前記ハウジングは、
前記回路基板に面することになる底面部が、前記嵌合方向において前記第2位置を挟んで前記第1位置とは逆側にある端部にて、前記第1位置から離れるほど前記回路基板から離れるように傾斜する、ように構成される、
基板実装型のコネクタであること。

上記[1]又は上記[2]に記載のコネクタにおいて、
前記突起部は、
前記ハウジングの前記幅方向における両縁部よりも前記回路基板に近い位置まで突出する、
基板実装型のコネクタであること。
以下、図面を参照しながら、本発明の実施形態に係るコネクタ1について説明する。図1及び図3に示すコネクタ1は、回路基板2(図4参照)に実装されて使用される基板実装型のコネクタである。コネクタ1は、コネクタ1に属するハウジング10に相手側光コネクタ(図示省略)が嵌合された状態にて、相手側光コネクタに収容されている光ファイバ(図示省略)と、回路基板2上の電子機器(図示省略)とを通信可能に接続する機能を果たす。コネクタ1のハウジング10は、コネクタ1の回路基板2への実装時にハウジング10の内部にダストが侵入することを防止するために、相手側光コネクタに代えてダストキャップ50(図1及び図3参照)が装着可能に構成されている。
以上、本実施形態に係るコネクタ1によれば、複数のリードフレーム32のうちの一部(リードフレーム32a)にベンドダウンが生じることで、その一部のリードフレーム32aと一対の前側突起部15とでハウジング10が支えられる状態となっても、コネクタ1の重心Gがリードフレーム32よりも前側突起部15に近い位置にあるため(図3において、a<bの関係を参照)、コネクタ1の重心Gが前側突起部15よりもリードフレーム32に近い位置にある場合に比べ、コネクタ1の傾きが生じ難い。よって、本実施形態に係るコネクタ1は、回路基板2への実装時における意図しない傾きを抑制可能である。
なお、本発明は上記各実施形態に限定されることはなく、本発明の範囲内において種々の変形例を採用できる。例えば、本発明は、上述した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、適宜、変形、改良、等が可能である。その他、上述した実施形態における各構成要素の材質、形状、寸法、数、配置箇所、等は本発明を達成できるものであれば任意であり、限定されない。
