特許文献1においては、ポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料を使用して厚み60〜80μmの皮膜を形成する方法が開示されている。
特許文献2においては、ポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料を使用して厚み60〜80μmの皮膜を形成する方法が開示されている。
特許文献3においては、ポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料を使用して厚み200μmの皮膜を形成する方法が開示されている。
上記ポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料は、無機充填剤を含まないことが好ましい。
本開示は、基材及び当該基材上に形成された上記塗膜を有することを特徴とする塗装物品でもある。

ショア硬度がD90以上であることで、皮膜が高い硬度を有するという観点から好ましい。上記ショア硬度は、95以上であることがさらに好ましく、100以上であることが更に好ましい。
ただし、本開示においては表面粗度が低い皮膜が形成されることが必要となる。無機充填剤を配合すると、表面粗度が大きくなりやすい。このため、特に低い表面粗度が必要とされる場合は、無機充填剤の配合量は20重量%以下とするか、全く添加しないものであることが特に好ましい。
共重合可能な単量体としては、下記式
CH2=CX5Rf3、CF2=CFRf3、CF2=CFORf3、CH2=C(Rf3)2
(式中、X5は水素原子又はフッ素原子、Rf3はエーテル結合を含んでいてもよいフルオロアルキル基を表す。)で表される単量体が挙げられ、なかでも、CF2=CFRf3、CF2=CFORf3及びCH2=CX5Rf3で表される含フッ素ビニルモノマーが好ましく、HFP、CF2=CF−ORf4(式中、Rf4は炭素数1〜5のパーフルオロアルキル基を表す。)で表されるパーフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)及びRf3が炭素数1〜8のフルオロアルキル基であるCH2=CX5Rf3で表される含フッ素ビニルモノマーがより好ましい。また、TFE及びエチレンと共重合可能な単量体としては、イタコン酸、無水イタコン酸等の脂肪族不飽和カルボン酸であってもよい。TFE及びエチレンと共重合可能な単量体は、含フッ素重合体に対して0.1〜10モル%が好ましく、0.1〜5モル%がより好ましく、0.2〜4モル%が特に好ましい。
0分であることがより好ましく、4〜40g/10分であることが更に好ましい。
以下に実施例を示し、本発明を具体的に説明する。実施例および比較例において、種々の測定は次のようにして行った。
日機装社製のマイクロトラック粒度分析計MT3300EXIIを用いて、平均粒径を測定した。
350℃の電気炉に30分間静置した金属基材を常温下に取り出し、金属基材温度が200℃以上の状態でアネスト岩田社製の静電粉体塗装機EP−MC10を用い、印加電圧40kVにおいてポリフェニレンスルフィド粉末をSS40鋼板に塗布した後、これを350℃で30分間加熱して塗装膜を得た。膜厚は、サンコウ電子研究所社製の電磁式膜厚計SWT−8100を用いて一つの塗装膜あたり5点測定した。また、高分子計器社製の硬度測定機デュロメータータイプDを用いて塗装膜の硬度を測定するとともに、ミツトヨ社製の表面粗さ測定機SJ−210を用いて塗装膜の表面粗度Raを測定した。さらに、得られた塗膜を室温下で1週間保存し、保存期間中の塗膜割れの発生状況を観察・評価した。
MFR 85(g/10min)、融点277℃の架橋型ポリフェニレンスルフィド粉末をダルトン社製の粉砕機ネアミルを用いて、平均粒径75μmのポリフェニレンスルフィド粉砕品を得た。このポリフェニレンスルフィド粉砕品から塗装膜を作製した。
別紙に示すMFR、融点を有するリニア型、または、架橋型ポリフェニレンスルフィド粉末を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様の手順を繰り返した。
実施例3で得られたポリフェニレンスルフィド粉砕品に、30wt%/ポリフェニレンスルフィドの量のガラス繊維(日東紡績社製 フィラメント径13μm)を添加して、均一に混合した。この混合品から塗装膜を作製した。
以下、これらの付加的な効果を得るために、ポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂以外の樹脂を併用した場合について、実施例によって示す。
実施例3で得られたポリフェニレンスルフィド塗装膜を、熱水に浸漬して金属基材から剥離させた後に、80℃の30%硝酸水溶液に1週間浸漬させて、重量変化を評価した。
実施例3で得られたポリフェニレンスルフィド粉砕品に、30wt%/ポリフェニレンスルフィドの量のFEP粉末(平均粒径15μm MFR21g/10min)を添加して、均一に混合し、この混合品から塗装膜を作製した。これを熱水に浸漬して金属基材から剥離させた塗装膜を、80℃の30%硝酸水溶液に1週間浸漬させて、重量変化を評価した。
実施例3で得られたポリフェニレンスルフィド塗装膜に対し、JIS K 5600−5−7に記載のプルオフ法により、SS40鋼板に対する剥離強度を評価した。
実施例3で得られたポリフェニレンスルフィド粉砕品に、30wt%/ポリフェニレンスルフィドの量のポリアミドイミド(平均粒径20μm 酸価80mgKOH/g)を添加して、均一に混合し、この混合品から塗装膜を作製した。この塗装膜に対し、JIS K 5600−5−7に記載のプルオフ法により、SS40鋼板に対する剥離強度を評価した。
実施例3で得られたポリフェニレンスルフィド粉砕品に、30wt%/ポリフェニレンスルフィドの量のポリエーテルスルフォン粉末(平均粒径20μm 還元粘度0.50)を添加して、均一に混合し、この混合品から塗装膜を作製した。この混合品から塗装膜を作製した。この塗装膜に対し、JIS K 5600−5−7に記載のプルオフ法により、SS40鋼板に対する剥離強度を評価した。
条件により、基材への一回の塗装によって500μm以上の膜厚を有し、かつ、表面粗度
Raが0.30μm以下である皮膜を形成することができ、平均粒径が20〜500μmであるポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料でもある。
Claims (11)
- ポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂を含有する粉体塗料を使用した皮膜形成方法であって、
ポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂の融点以上かつ250〜400℃の範囲内で上記粉体塗料を加熱する工程を有し、
基材への一回の塗装によって、500μm以上の膜厚の皮膜を形成するものであり、
得られた皮膜は、表面粗度Raが0.30μm以下であることを特徴とする皮膜形成方法。 - ポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂は、メルトフローレート(MFR)が10〜100g/10minである請求項1記載の皮膜形成方法。
- 粉体塗料は、平均粒径が20〜500μmである請求項1又は2記載の皮膜形成方法。
- 粉体塗料は、無機充填剤を含有しない請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の皮膜形成方法。
- 250〜400℃の範囲かつポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂の融点以上の加熱条件により、金属基材への一回の塗装によって500μm以上の膜厚を有し、かつ、表面粗度Raが0.30μm以下である皮膜を形成することができることを特徴とするポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料。
- 融点が260℃から300℃の範囲にあり、得られる皮膜のショア硬度がD90以上である、請求項5に記載のポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料。
- MFRが10〜100g/10minのポリフェニレンスルフィド樹脂を含有し、粉体の平均粒径が20〜500μmの範囲であることを特徴とするポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料。
- 無機充填剤を含まない、請求項5〜7のいずれかに記載のポリフェニレンスルフィド粉体塗料。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかの皮膜形成方法によって形成されたものであることを特徴とする塗膜。
- 基材及び当該基材上に形成された請求項9記載の塗膜を有することを特徴とする塗装物品。
- 基材が金属である請求項10記載の塗装物品。
