Abstract
Description
R=(G+J)×tanθ
なる式で決定される距離Rだけ離れた位置までの間に配置され、発光部の第1の端部に対向する第2の端部から透明部材の側面までの距離をD1とするとき、
D1>(G+J)/tanθ
なる条件式を満足することを特徴とする。
上面14cで全反射した光は、センサ信号光とは無関係なノイズ光である。そこで、本実施例では、受光部12a,13aを発光部11aの端部から距離Rだけ離れた位置までの間に配置している。これにより、上面14cで全反射したノイズ光が受光部12a,13aに入射することを抑制することができる。また、発光部11aの端部(第1の端部)に対向する端部(第2の端部)は、発光部11aの端部(第1の端部)から距離Rだけ離れた位置までの間に配置されている。
条件式(2)を満足することで、上面14cおよび側面14dを全反射した光が受光部12a,13aに入射することを抑制することができる。
条件式(3)を満足することで、発光部21aの端部から最も近い側面23cおよび上面23aを全反射した光が受光部22aに入射することを抑制することができる。

- 光を射出する発光素子と、
パターンが形成されているスケールからの反射光を受光する受光素子と、
前記発光素子および前記受光素子を覆う透明部材とを有し、
前記発光素子の発光部から前記透明部材の上面までの距離をG、前記受光素子の受光部から前記上面までの距離をJ、前記発光部から射出された光が前記透明部材で全反射する角度をθとするとき、
前記受光部は、前記発光部の第1の端部から
R=(G+J)×tanθ
なる式で決定される距離Rだけ離れた位置までの間に配置され、
前記発光部の前記第1の端部に対向する第2の端部から前記透明部材の側面までの距離をD1とするとき、
D1>(G+J)/tanθ
なる条件式を満足することを特徴とする反射型センサ。 - 前記第2の端部は、前記第1の端部と前記距離Rだけ離れた位置までの間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の反射型センサ。
- 前記受光素子は、1つの受光素子から構成され、
前記発光部の端部から最も近い前記透明部材の側面までの距離をD2とするとき、
D2>G/tanθ
なる条件式を満足することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の反射型センサ。 - 前記受光素子は、複数の受光素子から構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の反射型センサ。
- 前記透明部材は、透明ガラスと透明樹脂から構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載の反射型センサ。
- 前記透明部材は、透明樹脂から構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載の反射型センサ。
- 前記発光素子および前記受光素子は、非反射部材の上に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載の反射型センサ。
- 前記発光部から前記上面までの距離は、前記受光部から前記上面までの距離と等しいことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れか一項に記載の反射型センサ。
- 請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の反射型センサと、
前記反射型センサからの光を反射するスケールとを有することを特徴とする光学式エンコーダ。
