Abstract
Description
ウレタンは、ウレタン結合を含有する化合物であり、以下の構造を有し、
オープン結合の両方が炭素原子に接続している。ポリウレタンは、分子あたり3つ以上のウレタン結合を含有する化合物である。
イソシアネートは、1つ以上のペンダントイソシアネート基−NCOを含有する化合物である(例えば、分子あたり2つ以上のイソシアネート基を含有するイソシアネートは、ポリイソシアネートであり、正確に2つのイソシアネート基を含有するイソシアネートは、ジイソシアネートなどである)。別段の定めがない限り、本明細書で使用されるイソシアネートという用語は、モノマーイソシアネートおよびポリイソシアネートを含む。いくつかの実施形態では、イソシアネートは、ジイソシアネートである。
ポリオールは、分子あたり2つ以上のヒドロキシル基(すなわち、−OH)を有する化合物である。ジオールは、分子あたり正確に2つの−OH基を有する。二官能性ポリオールは、ジオールである。エステルは、エステル結合を含有する化合物であり、以下の構造を有し、
オープン結合の両方が炭素原子に接続している。ポリエステルは、分子あたり3つ以上のエステル結合を含有する化合物である。ポリエステルおよびポリオールの両方である化合物は、ポリエステルポリオールである。脂肪族ポリエステルポリオールは、その分子中に芳香族環を含有しないポリエステルポリオールである。芳香族ポリエステルポリオールは、その分子中に1つ以上の芳香族環を含有するポリエステルポリオールである。
いくつかの実施形態では、ポリウレタンプレポリマーは、ポリエーテルポリオールをさらに含む。いくつかの実施形態では、ポリエーテルポリオールは、親水性側鎖を含む。
いくつかの実施形態では、水性ポリウレタン分散組成物は、任意に、充填剤、増量剤、UV吸収剤、光安定剤、可塑剤、および湿潤剤などの他の成分を含む。これらの任意の成分は、使用される場合、イソシアネートおよびポリエステルポリオールの総重量の最大10重量%を構成し得る。
いくつかの実施形態では、開示されるポリウレタン分散組成物は、積層用途において接着剤として使用することができる。組成物を積層接着剤として使用するために、組成物を1つ以上のイソシアネート架橋剤と混合して、水ベースの接着剤組成物を形成することができる。
27.9グラムのISONATE(商標)50 O、P´を、107.2グラムのCAPA(商標)2302、12グラムのCARBOWAX(商標)1000、3.8グラムのジプロピレングリコール、および5gのYMER(商標)N120の混合物に添加する。混合物を、理論的NCO含有量に達するまで65〜90℃で4〜5時間反応させ、それによりポリウレタンプレポリマーを形成する。ポリウレタンプレポリマーは、19.8グラムのRHODACAL(商標)DS−4を導入し、高速(2,000〜3,000rpm)下で1〜3分間混合することができる容器に移すことができる。次いで、330グラムの脱イオン水(約5℃)を高速混合下で添加して、均一な分散が達成されるようにする。次に、3.4グラムの1,2−プロパンジアミンおよび水溶液(20%)をゆっくりと分散物に添加し、混合を1,000〜1,500rpmで15〜30分間保持する。31.6%の固形分、6.4のpH、175nmの平均粒子サイズを有する水性ポリウレタン分散物が形成される。水性分散物は安定であることが証明され、室温(すなわち、20〜25℃)で2ヶ月間沈殿物がなかった。
44.7グラムのISONATE(商標)50 O、P´を、102.5グラムのVORANOL(商標)V 9287A、89.7グラムのTETRATHANE(商標)2000、6.2グラムのCARBOWAX(商標)1000、および5.1グラムのCARBOWAX(商標)MPEG 1000の混合物に添加する。混合物を、理論的NCO含有量に達するまで65〜90℃で4〜5時間反応させ、それによりポリウレタンプレポリマーを形成する。ポリウレタンプレポリマーは、31.6グラムのRHODACAL(商標)DS−4を導入し、高速(2,000〜3,000rpm)下で1〜3分間混合することができる容器に移すことができる。次いで、360グラムの脱イオン水(約5℃)を高速混合下で添加して、均一な分散が達成されるようにする。次に、8.2グラムの1,2−プロパンジアミンおよび水溶液(20%)をゆっくりと分散物に添加し、混合を1,000〜1,500rpmで15〜30分間保持する。40%の固形分および6.4のpHを有する水性ポリウレタン分散物が形成される。水性分散物は安定であることが証明され、室温(すなわち、20〜25℃)で2ヶ月間沈殿物がなかった。
上記のPUDまたはアクリルエマルジョンを、10分間1,000rpmで撹拌しながら2%の架橋剤CR3Aと混合して、接着剤製剤を作製する。
積層体は、2軸延伸ポリプロピレン(「BOPP」)および無延伸ポリプロピレン(「CPP」)フィルムを含み、コーティング重量が1平方メートルあたり2.0〜2.3グラムの接着剤である、NordmeccanicaのLABO−COMBI(商標)400装置で調製する。積層体は、室温(20〜25℃)で7日間硬化させる。
積層構造の酸素ガス透過率は、ASTM D3985(Standard Test Method for Oxygen Gas Transmission Rate through a Plastic Film and Sheeting Using a Coulometric Sensor)に従って測定される。この試験に使用される条件は、23℃および85%の相対湿度である。積層構造の水蒸気透過率は、ASTM Method F−1249に従って測定される。この試験に使用される条件は、37.8℃および90%の相対湿度である。

20〜150mgKOH/gのヒドロキシル含有量および90℃以下の溶融温度を有する結晶性ポリエステルポリオールと、を含む、水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
ポリウレタンプレポリマーを水性媒体に分散させることにより水性ポリウレタン分散物を提供することであって、ポリウレタンプレポリマーが、
イソシアネートと、
20〜150mgKOH/gのヒドロキシル含有量および90℃以下の溶融温度を有する結晶性ポリエステルポリオールと、を含む、提供することと、
水性ポリウレタン分散組成物を第1の基材の表面に塗布することと、
第1の基材の側面を第2の基材の表面と接触させることと、
水性ポリウレタン分散組成物を硬化させ、それにより第1の基材を第2の基材に積層することと、を含む、方法。
Claims (10)
- 水性媒体に分散されたポリウレタンプレポリマーを含む、水性ポリウレタン分散組成物であって、
前記ポリウレタンプレポリマーが、
イソシアネートと、
20〜150mgKOH/gのヒドロキシル含有量および90℃以下の溶融温度を有する結晶性ポリエステルポリオールと、を含む、水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。 - 前記イソシアネートが、芳香族イソシアネート、脂肪族イソシアネート、脂環式イソシアネート、およびそれらの2つ以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
- 前記結晶性ポリエステルポリオールが、直鎖ジオールおよび直鎖カルボン酸の重縮合物である、請求項1に記載の水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
- 前記直鎖ジオールが、ブタンジオール、ヘキサンジオール、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載の水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
- 前記直鎖ジカルボン酸が、アジピン酸である、請求項3に記載の水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
- 前記結晶性ポリエステルポリオールが、ポリカプロラクトンポリオールである、請求項1に記載の水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
- 界面活性剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
- ポリアミンをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の水性ポリウレタン分散組成物。
- 第1の基材を第2の基材に積層する方法であって、
ポリウレタンプレポリマーを水性媒体に分散させることにより水性ポリウレタン分散物を提供することであって、前記ポリウレタンプレポリマーが、
イソシアネートと、
20〜150mgKOH/gのヒドロキシル含有量および90℃以下の溶融温度を有する結晶性ポリエステルポリオールと、を含む、提供することと、
前記水性ポリウレタン分散組成物を第1の基材の表面に塗布することと、
前記第1の基材の側面を前記第2の基材の表面と接触させることと、
前記水性ポリウレタン分散組成物を硬化させ、それにより前記第1の基材を前記第2の基材に積層することと、を含む、方法。 - 請求項9に記載の方法に従って形成された積層体。
