Abstract
Description
(a)タバコ及び捕捉溶媒を仕切られた容器内に供給するステップであって、タバコ及び捕捉溶媒が仕切りによって分離され、容器はタバコ及び捕捉溶媒が互いに接触できないように構成されている、ステップ;
(b)容器を通して超臨界抽出溶媒を流すステップであって、抽出溶媒及び任意の溶解物質が仕切りを通過することができ、それによって、タバコ成分が、タバコから抽出溶媒中に抽出されて仕切りを越えて運ばれ、抽出溶媒が捕捉溶媒と接触し、タバコ成分が超臨界抽出溶媒から捕捉溶媒中に移行する、ステップ
を含む、方法が提供される。
(c)抽出溶媒が亜臨界であるように容器内の条件を変え、それによって抽出溶媒と残存する任意の溶解タバコ成分とを分離し、そのうちの少なくとも一部を引き続き捕捉溶媒に溶解させる、ステップ
を追加的に含んでもよい。
− 一実施形態では、捕捉溶媒は、容器の上側部分であって、下側部分にあるタバコの上に供給されてもよく、仕切りは、泡鐘トレイ、網目プレート、弁板などの形態であってもよい。
− 代替実施形態では、捕捉溶媒は、容器の下側部分であって、上側部分にあるタバコの下に供給されてもよく、仕切りは、焼結プレート、微細メッシュなどの形態であってもよい。焼結プレートの孔径又はメッシュのメッシュサイズは、約1〜100μmであることが好適である。
喫煙品は、電子タバコであってもよい。
下に報告する水分活性値は、Aqualab Prewater Activity計量器を使用して、24.9〜25.2℃で測定した。この水分活性値は、露点法を使用して決定した。
下に報告する粘度値は、Bohlin Instruments製のGemini Rheometerを使用して、25℃で測定した。
挽いた355μm〜3.5mmの範囲の粒子径のバージニア種のタバコ葉を、水の添加(総タバコ重量の10%)によって事前処理した。タバコと水との混合物を平衡化させるために水の添加後15分間放置した(この時間は水が十分に吸収されるのに十分な時間である)。
底部に溶媒の入口及び最上部に出口、並びに出口を入口に接続する外部循環管路を有するステンレス鋼の抽出容器(5Lオートクレーブ)に、事前処理したタバコ(1.2kgに加えて10重量%の水)を入れた。タバコを、抽出容器の底部にあるステンレス鋼の焼結プレート上に置いた。この焼結プレートは、タバコの下の狭い入口を通して抽出容器に入る超臨界流体を分散させる。
挽きタバコの床を通して超臨界CO2流体を流し、タバコの成分を溶解させた。タバコ成分を含有する超臨界CO2の流れは、次いでグリセロールを通過し、タバコ成分はグリセロール中に移行した。
比較試験を、実施例1と同じ条件を使用して実行した。しかし、装置は異なっていた。1.2kgのグリセロールを、抽出チャンバとは別個の分解チャンバ内に供給した。分離チャンバと抽出チャンバとは移送ラインで連結した。超臨界溶媒は、2つのチャンバを通して循環させた。
比較試験の他のすべての態様は実施例1と同じであった。
この比較試験は、欧州特許第1915064号に一般的に記載されるプロセスの代表的な実施例である。
Claims (16)
- タバコ抽出物を作製する方法であって、
(a)タバコ及び捕捉溶媒を仕切られた容器内に供給するステップであって、前記タバコ及び捕捉溶媒が仕切りによって分離され、前記容器は前記タバコ及び捕捉溶媒が互いに接触できないように構成されている、ステップ、
(b)前記容器を通して超臨界抽出溶媒を流すステップであって、前記抽出溶媒及び任意の溶解物質が前記仕切りを通過することができ、それによって、タバコ成分が、前記タバコから前記抽出溶媒中に抽出されて前記仕切りを越えて運ばれ、前記抽出溶媒が前記捕捉溶媒と接触し、タバコ成分が前記抽出溶媒から前記捕捉溶媒中に移行する、ステップ
を含む、方法。 - 前記仕切りが、泡鐘トレイ、網目プレート、弁板、焼結プレート、又は微細メッシュである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- (c)前記抽出溶媒が亜臨界であるように前記容器内の条件を変え、それによって前記抽出溶媒と残存する任意の溶解タバコ成分とを分離し、そのうちの少なくとも一部を引き続き前記捕捉溶媒に溶解させる、ステップ
をさらに含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。 - 前記抽出溶媒が二酸化炭素を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ステップ(a)及び(b)の間、
温度が約308〜473K、好ましくは328〜350Kの範囲内であり、
圧力が約8〜85MPa、好ましくは20〜30MPaの範囲内である、請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記捕捉溶媒がエアロゾル発生剤を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記捕捉溶媒が、ポリオール、例えば、グリセロール及び/又はプロピレングリコールを含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記タバコ成分が、ニコチン並びにタバコの香り及び香味のうちの1つ又は複数を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記捕捉溶媒が、前記容器の上側部分であって、下側部分にあるタバコの上に供給され、前記仕切りが、泡鐘トレイ、網目プレート、又は弁板の形態である、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記捕捉溶媒が、前記容器の下側部分であって、上側部分にあるタバコの下に供給され、前記仕切りが、焼結プレート又は微細メッシュの形態である、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 溶解したタバコ成分を含有する前記捕捉溶媒をカートリッジ内に提供するステップであって、前記カートリッジが喫煙品内で使用されるように構成されている、ステップをさらに含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得ることができるタバコ抽出物。
- 喫煙品内で使用されるように構成されているカートリッジであって、請求項12に記載のタバコ抽出物を含有する、カートリッジ。
- 請求項12に記載のタバコ抽出物を含有する喫煙品。
- 吸入可能なエアロゾルを発生させるための、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得ることができるタバコ抽出物の使用。
- 前記タバコ抽出物が喫煙品内で使用される、請求項15に記載の使用。
