Abstract
Description
本PCT(特許協力条約)特許出願は、2015年9月30日に出願され、「Keyboard with Adaptive Input Row」と題する米国仮特許出願第62/234,950号に対する優先権を主張するもので、この内容全体を参照によって本明細書に引用したものとする。
タッチ層及びその他の構成要素を含む、様々な構成要素は、明確にするため、及び冗長性を低減するために、図6A〜図6Cの簡略化された図から省略されている。しかし、タッチ感知、及びタッチ層の使用を含む、他の実施形態に関して明示的に説明されている様々な構成要素及び機能性が図6A〜図6Cの特徴と組み合わせられ得る。
Claims (20)
- 電子デバイスであって、
筐体と、
前記筐体内に少なくとも部分的に位置付けられたキーボードと、
前記キーボードの縁に沿って位置付けられた適応入力列であって、
タッチを受けるためのカバー、
前記カバーの下方に位置付けられており、標識の適応可能なセットを呈示するように構成されたディスプレイ、
前記タッチの場所を検出するように構成されたタッチセンサ、及び
前記タッチの力の大きさを検出するように構成された力センサ、
を含む、適応入力列と、
を備える電子デバイス。 - 前記筐体が、下部部分に枢動可能に結合された上部部分を含み、
プライマリディスプレイが前記筐体の前記上部部分内に位置付けられており、
前記キーボードが前記筐体の前記下部部分内に位置付けられており、
前記適応入力列が前記キーボードの数字列に隣接して位置付けられており、
トラックパッドが、前記適応入力列と反対側の前記キーボードの下縁に沿って位置付けられている、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - 複数のユーザ入力領域が前記カバーの長さに沿って画定されており、
第1の入力モードでは、前記複数のユーザ入力領域のうちの第1のユーザ入力領域が前記タッチに反応し、
第2の入力モードでは、前記第1のユーザ入力領域が前記タッチに反応しない、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記力センサが前記ディスプレイの下方に位置付けられており、
前記力センサが、圧縮性層によって分離された容量性電極の対を含む、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記力センサが、前記適応入力列の内容積内への湿気又は液体の侵入を防止するためのシールを提供するように構成されている、請求項4に記載の電子デバイス。
- 容量性電極の前記対が、前記ディスプレイの第1の端部に配置された容量性電極の第1の対であり、
前記適応入力列が、前記ディスプレイの第2の端部に配置された容量性電極の第2の対を更に含み、
前記電子デバイスが、容量性電極の前記第1の対及び前記第2の対に動作可能に結合されたセンサ回路機構を更に備え、
前記センサ回路機構が、容量性電極の前記第1の対と前記第2の対との間の相対たわみ量に基づいて前記カバー上における前記タッチの前記場所に対応する信号を出力するように構成されている、請求項4に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記力センサが前記ディスプレイの下方に位置付けられており、
前記力センサが、前記適応入力列の長さに沿って配列された力感知構造体のアレイを含む、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記筐体内に位置付けられた処理ユニットと、
前記筐体内に少なくとも部分的に位置付けられており、前記処理ユニットによって生成されたグラフィカルユーザインターフェースを表示するように構成されたプライマリディスプレイと、
を更に備える、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - ユーザ入力デバイスであって、
英数字キーのセットと、
英数字キーの前記セットに隣接して位置付けられた適応入力列であって、
カバー、
前記カバーの下方に位置付けられたディスプレイ、及び
前記カバー上におけるタッチの場所を検出するように構成されたセンサ、
を含む、適応入力列と、
を備え、
前記ディスプレイが、前記ユーザ入力デバイスが第1の入力モードで動作させられている時には、標識の第1のセットを表示するように構成されており、
前記第1の入力モードになっている時には、前記センサからの出力がコマンドの第1のセットとして解釈され、
前記ディスプレイが、前記デバイスが第2の入力モードで動作させられている時には、標識の第2のセットを表示するように構成されており、
前記第2の入力モードになっている時には、前記センサからの出力がコマンドの第2のセットとして解釈される、
ユーザ入力デバイス。 - 前記適応入力列が、前記ディスプレイによって照明される表示領域を越えて延在するタッチ感知領域を含む、請求項9に記載のユーザ入力デバイス。
- 前記タッチが前記タッチ感知領域内に位置することに応じて、前記適応入力列が、前記ディスプレイを標識の前記第1のセットから標識の第3のセットへ変更するよう動作可能である、請求項10に記載のユーザ入力デバイス。
- プログラム可能画定領域のセットが前記適応入力列の長さに沿って画定されており、
標識の前記第1のセット及び前記第2のセットがプログラム可能画定領域の同じ前記セットの上に表示される、請求項9に記載のユーザ入力デバイス。 - 標識の前記第1のセットが、前記カバー上における前記タッチに反応する、アニメーション表示された標識を含む、請求項9に記載のユーザ入力デバイス。
- 前記センサが、
前記タッチが前記カバーの少なくとも一部分にわたって移動させられるタッチジェスチャ入力、
前記タッチが、閾値を超える力を加える、強力なタッチ入力、又は
複数のタッチが前記カバーに接触するマルチタッチ入力、
を区別するように構成されている、請求項9に記載のユーザ入力デバイス。 - 電子デバイスであって、
筐体と、
筐体の第1の部分内に位置付けられたプライマリディスプレイと、
前記筐体の第2の部分内に位置付けられたキーのセットを有するキーボードと、
前記筐体の前記第2の部分内に、キーの前記セットの縁に沿って位置付けられた適応入力列であって、
前記電子デバイスの外面の一部分を形成するカバー、
前記カバーの下方に位置付けられたディスプレイ、及び
前記カバー上のプログラム可能画定領域内におけるタッチを検出するように構成されたセンサ、
を含む、適応入力列と、
を備える電子デバイス。 - 前記センサが、容量性ノードのアレイから形成された静電容量式タッチセンサを含み、
前記プログラム可能画定領域が、複数の容量性ノードによって検出可能なタッチ感知区域を含む、請求項15に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記センサが、前記カバーの長さに沿った前記タッチの場所、及び前記タッチの力を検出するように構成された2つ以上の力感知構造体を含む、請求項15に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記センサが、前記ディスプレイの外周の周りに配置された力感知構造体を含み、
前記力感知構造体が、
上部容量性電極、
下部容量性電極、及び
前記上部容量性電極と前記下部容量性電極との間に位置付けられた圧縮性層、
を含む、請求項15に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記力感知構造体が前記ディスプレイの周囲の保護シールを形成する、請求項18に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記電子デバイスが、前記ディスプレイ及び前記センサに動作可能に結合されたたわみ管路を更に備え、
前記たわみ管路が、前記適応入力列の端部に近接して位置する前記筐体内の第3の開口部を通り抜け、
前記電子デバイスが、前記たわみ管路と前記第3の開口部との間のシールを形成するために前記たわみ管路の周りに位置付けられたガスケットを更に備える、請求項15に記載の電子デバイス。
