本発明は、低pHの胃液に曝された際に胃でヒドロゲルを形成する、アルギン酸塩を好ましくはペクチンと組み合わせて含んでなる栄養補助食品を提供することにより、この問題を解決する。ヒドロゲルの形成は、胃内で糖および他の有効成分の放出の遅延をもたらす。本栄養補助食品は、望ましくない消化管症状を引き起こさずに高濃度の糖および複合糖質(complex carbohydrates)を含んでいてもよい。

ペクチンは、ペクチン多糖としても知られ、陸生植物の細胞壁に含まれる構造的にヘテロな多糖であり、ガラクツロン酸に富んでいる。ペクチン群ではいくつかの異なる多糖の同定および特性評価がなされている。
ラムノガラクツロナンIIは、ラムノガラクツロナンIIの骨格がもっぱらD−ガラクツロン酸単位で構成されていることから、置換ガラクツロナン群に分類され得る。
アルギン酸塩は、アルギンまたはアルギン酸とも呼ばれ、褐色藻類の細胞壁に広く分布している陰イオン性多糖である。アルギン酸は、それぞれ、異なる配列またはブロックで相互に共有結合されたホモポリマーブロック(1−4)結合β−D−マンヌロン酸(M)残基とそのC−5エピマーα−L−グルロン酸(G)残基を有する直鎖コポリマーである。モノマーは、連続G残基(Gブロック)、連続M残基(Mブロック)または交互MおよびG残基(MGブロック)のホモポリマーブロックで見られ得る。高Gアルギン酸塩(>50%G)および高Mアルギン酸塩(>50%M)を含め、総ての形態のアルギン酸塩が本発明に従って使用可能である。好ましいアルギン酸塩は、高Gアルギン酸塩である。対イオンは、例えば、ナトリウム(アルギン酸ナトリウム)、カリウム(アルギン酸カリウム)、アンモニウム(アルギン酸アンモニウム)または他の好適な一価陽イオン、またはそれらの混合物であり得る。
本発明による使用可能な糖は、限定されるものではないが、グルコース、フルクトース、ガラクトースなどの単糖、ラクトース、マルトース、スクロース、ラクツロース、トレハロース、セロビオースなどの二糖である。
本発明に従って使用可能な複合糖質は、限定されるものではないが、アミロースおよびアミロペクチンなどのデンプン、マルトデキストリン、グルコースシロップおよびフルクトースシロップの成分である。
実験1 グルコース(12g)、フルクトース(6g)、アルギン酸塩(0.4g)、およびペクチン(0.6g)を、小瓶内で振盪することにより水と混合した(総重量100g)。少なくとも1分後、15mlの混合物を、ゆっくり回転させた(16rpm)60mlの円筒容器(内径26mm、長さ120mm)内の40mlの人工胃液(SGF)中に注いだ。SGFのサンプル(0.20ml)を0.5、1、2、3、6、9、12、15、18および21分に採取した。参照として、アルギン酸塩およびペクチンを除く、SGFを含めた総ての成分を含有する水溶液を使用した。光学密度および対応するBRIX濃度を、ATAGO PAL−3屈折計のよって測定した。
これらの配合物は、SGFと接触してゲルを形成した。
Claims (9)
- スポーツドリンクとして、またはエナジードリンクとして使用するための、下記を含んでなる、液体栄養補助食品:
a)0.05〜2.0重量%のアルギン酸塩、
b)0.03〜1.5重量%のペクチン、および
c)5〜25重量%の有効成分、ここで、該有効成分は糖、複合糖質、電解質、およびアミノ酸からなる成分の1以上から選択される。 - 下記を含んでなる、固体栄養補助食品:
a)0.2〜16重量%のアルギン酸塩、
b)0.12〜12重量%のペクチン、および
c)75〜95重量%の有効成分、ここで、該有効成分は、糖、複合糖質、無機塩、およびアミノ酸からなる成分の1以上から選択される。 - スポーツドリンクまたはエナジードリンクとして使用するために水に溶解することが意図された、請求項2に記載の固体栄養補助食品。
- 下記を含んでなる、液体栄養補助食品:
a)0.05〜0.15重量%のアルギン酸塩、
b)0.03〜0.1重量%のペクチン、および
c)5〜25重量%の有効成分、ここで、該有効成分は、糖、複合糖質、電解質、およびアミノ酸からなる成分の1以上から選択される。 - 下記を含んでなる、固体栄養補助食品:
a)0.2〜2.0重量%のアルギン酸塩、
b)0.12〜1.4重量%のペクチン、および
c)75〜99重量%の有効成分、ここで、該有効成分は、糖、複合糖質、無機塩、およびアミノ酸からなる成分の1以上から選択される。 - スポーツドリンクまたはエナジードリンクとして使用するために水に溶解することが意図された、請求項5に記載の固体栄養補助食品。
- 下記を含んでなる、液体栄養補助食品:
a)0.1〜3.5重量%のアルギン酸塩、および
b)10〜25重量%の有効成分、ここで、該有効成分は、糖、複合糖質、電解質、およびアミノ酸からなる成分の1以上から選択される。 - 下記を含んでなる、固体栄養補助食品:
a)0.5〜25重量%のアルギン酸塩、および
b)75〜99重量%の有効成分、ここで、該有効成分は、糖、複合糖質、無機塩、およびアミノ酸からなる成分の1以上から選択される。 - スポーツドリンクまたはエナジードリンクとして使用するために水に溶解することが意図された、請求項8に記載の固体栄養補助食品。
