Abstract
Description
(一実施形態)
一実施形態による冷却水制御弁装置、および、それを適用したエンジン冷却システムを図1に示す。
本発明の他の実施形態では、迂回流路は、バルブ40を迂回するようにして第2入口ポート302と内部空間300とを連通するよう形成されていてもよい。
Claims (4)
- エンジン(10)に取り付けられ、前記エンジンを流れる冷却水の流量を制御可能な冷却水制御弁装置(1)であって、
内部空間(300)、前記エンジンの外壁に当接可能に形成された取付面(390)、前記内部空間に連通しつつ前記取付面に開口するよう形成され前記エンジンを流れる冷却水が流通可能な少なくとも1つの入口ポート(301、302)、および、前記内部空間と外部とを連通する少なくとも1つの出口ポート(351、352)を有するハウジング(30)と、
前記内部空間に設けられ、回転することにより、前記入口ポートと前記出口ポートとの間の連通を制御可能なバルブ(40)と、を備え、
前記ハウジングは、前記内部空間を形成するハウジング本体(31)、および、前記バルブを迂回するようにして前記入口ポートと前記内部空間とを連通する迂回流路(303)の少なくとも一部を形成する迂回流路形成部(34)を有し、前記取付面が前記エンジンの外壁に当接するよう前記エンジンに取り付けられる冷却水制御弁装置。 - 前記バルブは、軸周りに回転可能な筒状のバルブ本体(41)、ならびに、前記バルブ本体の内周壁と外周壁とを接続するよう形成され前記バルブ本体の回転位置により前記入口ポートおよび前記出口ポートのそれぞれに連通可能な複数のバルブ開口部(401、402、403、404)を有し、
環状の当接面(600)を有し、前記入口ポートまたは前記出口ポートと前記バルブとの間のうち少なくとも1箇所において前記当接面が前記バルブ本体の外周壁に当接するよう設けられ、前記当接面と前記バルブ本体の外周壁との間を液密に保持可能なシール部(61、62、63)をさらに備える請求項1に記載の冷却水制御弁装置。 - 前記ハウジングは、前記内部空間と前記ハウジング本体の外壁とを接続するよう形成され複数の前記バルブ開口部と前記入口ポートおよび前記出口ポートのそれぞれとを連通可能な複数の筒状空間部(311、312、313、314)をさらに有し、
前記シール部は、複数の前記筒状空間部のうち2以上の前記筒状空間部のそれぞれにおいて前記当接面が前記バルブ本体の外周壁に当接するよう、複数設けられ、
複数の前記筒状空間部のうち前記シール部が設けられた2以上の前記筒状空間部は、前記ハウジング本体の外郭を形成する複数の外壁のうち同一の方向を向く外壁である特定外壁(310)に開口している請求項2に記載の冷却水制御弁装置。 - 前記ハウジングは、前記出口ポートを形成しつつ前記ハウジング本体とは別体に形成されたパイプ部(35)をさらに有し、
前記迂回流路形成部は、前記パイプ部と一体に形成されている請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の冷却水制御弁装置。
