Abstract
Description
本発明の自動車外装部品を構成するポリプロピレン樹脂組成物は、ポリプロピレン樹脂および全芳香族液晶ポリマーを必須成分として含有する。
この中でも、機械強度が得られやすい点から、ブロックポリプロピレンが好ましい。
これらの中ではエチレン、炭素数が4〜10のα−オレフィンが好ましい。
常温キシレン可溶分が1質量%未満であると、得られるポリプロピレン樹脂組成物において、全芳香族液晶ポリマーの分散性や、衝撃強度が不足する傾向にあり、50質量%を超えると、ポリプロピレン樹脂組成物の剛性や耐熱性が低下する傾向がある。
Ar1およびAr2は、それぞれ1種または2種以上の2価の芳香族基を表し、p、q、rおよびsは、それぞれ、全芳香族液晶ポリエステル中での各繰返し単位の組成比(モル%)であり、以下の条件を満たすものである:
0.5≦p/q≦2.5
2≦r≦15、および
2≦s≦15。]
本発明に使用する全芳香族液晶ポリマーの製造方法に特に制限はなく、前記の単量体の組合せからなるエステル結合やアミド結合などを形成させる公知の重縮合方法、例えば溶融アシドリシス法、スラリー重合法などを使用することができる。
これらの中では、タルクが、物性とコストのバランスが優れている点で好ましい。
示差走査熱量計としてセイコーインスツルメンツ(株)製Exstar6000を用い、室温から20℃/分の昇温条件で測定した際に観測される吸熱ピーク温度(Tm1)の観測後、Tm1より20〜50℃高い温度で10分間保持する。次に、20℃/分の降温条件で室温まで試料を冷却し、その際に観測される発熱ピークのピークトップの温度を全芳香族液晶ポリマーの結晶化温度(Tc)とし、さらに、再度20℃/分の昇温条件で測定した際の吸熱ピークを観測し、そのピークトップを示す温度を全芳香族液晶ポリマーの結晶融解温度(Tm)とした。
溶融粘度測定装置(東洋精機(株)製キャピログラフ1D)により、0.7mmφ×10mmのキャピラリーを用いて、剪断速度1000sec−1の条件下、LCP−1については260℃、LCP−2については380℃、LCP−3については320℃での溶融粘度をそれぞれ測定した。
ISO 1133に準拠して、(株)東洋精機製作所製メルトインデックサG−02を用い、230℃、荷重2160gの条件で測定した。MVRの値が大きいと、流動性が高く成形しやすく生産性に優れることを意味する。
射出成形機(日精樹脂工業(株)製UH1000−110)を用いて、シリンダー設定温度を260℃(比較例4については320℃)、金型温度40℃で、長さ80.0mm、幅10.0mm、厚さ4.0mmの短冊状試験片に成形し、これを用いてISO−178に準拠して測定した。
射出成形機(日精樹脂工業(株)製UH1000−110)を用いて、シリンダー設定温度を、260℃(比較例4については320℃)、金型温度40℃で、長さ80.0mm、幅10.0mm、厚さ4.0mm の短冊状試験片に成形し、ISO−179に準拠し、デジタル衝撃試験機として (株)東洋精機製作所製G−UBを用いて、ノッチのタイプはA(ノッチ加工後の残り幅は8.0mm)、ハンマーの秤量は4wJ、打撃方向はエッジワイズの条件において測定した。
曲げ弾性率の測定に用いた試験片と同じ試験片を用いて、ISO−75に準拠し、荷重0.46MPa、昇温速度2℃/分で測定した。
曲げ弾性率の測定に用いた試験片と同じ試験片について、成形品の流れ方向(MD)を長辺とするようにして、切削加工により、長さ10.0mm、幅4.0mm、厚さ4.0mmの短冊状試験片を作製して測定用サンプルとした。(株)日立ハイテクサイエンス製熱機械分析装置(TMA/SS6000)を用いて、ASTM D696に準拠し、温度変化に対する試料長の変化量を測定した。線膨張係数の値が0に近いほど、寸法安定性に優れることを意味する。

実施例において、ポリプロピレン樹脂として以下のものを使用した。
PP−1:ブロックポリプロピレン((株)プライムポリマー製、J715M、MVR12.9cm3/10分、230℃、荷重2160g)
PP−2:プロピレン単独重合体((株)プライムポリマー製、J105G、MVR12.8cm3/10分、230℃、荷重2160g)
PP−3:ブロックポリプロピレン((株)プライムポリマー製、J466HP、MVR4.1cm3/10分、230℃、荷重2160g)
[合成例1(LCP−1)]
トルクメーター付き攪拌装置および留出管を備えた反応容器に、BON6:376.3g(40モル%)、POB:276.2g(40モル%)、HQ:55.1g(10モル%)およびTPA:83.1g(10モル%)を仕込み、さらに全単量体の水酸基量(モル)に対して1.025倍モルの無水酢酸を仕込み、次の条件で脱酢酸重合を行った。
トルクメーター付き攪拌装置および留出管を備えた反応容器に、POB:323.2g(36モル%)、BON6:48.9g(4モル%)、BP:169.4g(14モル%)、HQ:114.5g(16モル%)およびTPA:323.9g(30モル%)を仕込み、さらに全単量体の水酸基量(モル)に対して1.03倍モルの無水酢酸を仕込み、次の条件で脱酢酸重合を行った。
トルクメーター付き攪拌装置および留出管を備えた反応容器に、POB:655.4g(73モル%)およびBON6:330.2g(27モル%)を仕込み、さらに全単量体の水酸基量(モル)に対して1.03倍モルの無水酢酸を仕込み、次の条件で脱酢酸重合を行った。
PP−1〜3、LCP−1〜3を表1の実施例に示す含有量となるように配合して、2軸押出機(日本製鋼(株)製TEX−30)を用いて、シリンダー温度をLCPのTm+10〜+30℃となるようにして溶融混練して、ポリプロピレン樹脂組成物のペレットを得た。
また、結晶融解温度の高い全芳香族液晶ポリマーLCP−2(Tm 335℃)を使用した比較例3は溶融混練時の熱劣化によってポリプロピレン樹脂組成物を得ることができなかった。同様に結晶融解温度の高い全芳香族液晶ポリマーLCP−3(Tm 278℃)を使用した比較例4におけるポリプロピレン樹脂組成物は生産性、機械強度、耐熱性および寸法安定性が劣り、自動車外装部品に適さないものであった。

- ポリプロピレン樹脂組成物のメルトボリュームフローレート(ISO 1133、230℃、荷重2160g)が3〜100cm3/10分である、請求項1に記載の自動車外装部品。
- ポリプロピレン樹脂組成物の荷重たわみ温度(ISO−75、荷重0.46MPa)が100℃以上である、請求項1または2に記載の自動車外装部品。
- ポリプロピレン樹脂が、ブロックポリプロピレンである、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の自動車外装部品。
- ポリプロピレン樹脂組成物が、ポリプロピレン樹脂100質量部に対して、無機充填材1〜150質量部を含有する、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の自動車外装部品。
- 自動車外装部品が、ドア、ルーフ、ピラー、ボンネット、フェンダー、バンパー、サイドモール、マッドガード、ミラーカバーまたはフロアパネルである、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の自動車外装部品。
