Abstract
Description
血管壁へ光学放射を誘導するとともに血管壁からの反射放射を受け取るように構成されるカテーテルベース撮像装置と、
撮像スキャン中にカテーテルに対する撮像装置の位置を時間の関数として変化させるように構成される変位機構と、
心臓事象タイミングデータを患者から受け取るように構成される入力と、
心臓事象タイミングデータに基づいて撮像スキャンを開始するように構成されるトリガモジュールと、
を包含する、患者を撮像するためのカテーテルベース光学撮像システムを提供する。
変位機構が、連続する画像データフレームが異なる長手方向位置に対応するようにカテーテルの長手軸縁に沿って光学素子を駆動するように構成される長手方向変位機構を包含し、
トリガモジュールが、検出された心臓事象を参照して変位機構により光学素子の長手方向変位を開始するように構成される、
ように、撮像システムが構成されうる。
カテーテルベース撮像装置を患者の血管へ導入するステップであって、光学放射を血管壁へ誘導するとともに血管壁からの反射放射を受け取るように撮像装置が構成されるステップと、
心臓事象タイミングデータを患者から取得するステップと、
心臓事象タイミングに基づいて撮像スキャンを開始するステップと、
変位機構を使用して、撮像スキャンの間にカテーテルに対する撮像装置の位置を時間の関数として変化させるステップと、
を包含する、患者の血管内での光学撮像方法を提供する。

Claims (5)
- 患者を撮像するためのカテーテルベース光学撮像システムであって、
近位端部から遠位端部へ軸方向にカテーテルに延在する光学経路と、
前記軸方向光学路から、前記カテーテル長手軸線から血液壁に向かって径方向に延在する径方向光学路へ光学放射を誘導するとともに、前記血液壁からの反射放射を受け取るように構成されて、前記カテーテルの前記遠位端部に配設される光学素子と、
を包含し、
前記光学素子が、前記径方向光学路の方向を変化させるように前記カテーテル長手軸線を中心として回転可能であり、
前記光学素子が、第1透過性境界面と第2透過性境界面と第1反射面とを有する、
撮像システム。 - 前記第1透過性境界面が、前記カテーテルに沿って延在する前記光学経路に前記光学素子を光学的に結合するように配置および構成され、前記第2透過性境界面が、前記径方向光学路に光学放射を誘導するように配置および構成され、前記第1反射面が、前記第1および第2透過性境界面の間に配設される、請求項1に記載の撮像システム。
- 前記第1透過性境界面と前記第2透過性境界面と前記第1反射面とのうち少なくとも一つが集束素子を有する、請求項2に記載の撮像システム。
- 各前記集束素子が凹面か凸面または境界面を有する、請求項3に記載の撮像システム。
- 各前記集束素子が球面を有する、請求項4に記載の撮像システム。
