Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the distance between a light source and an image forming surface, by providing a spherical or aspherical projected part on the two faces of a trinagular prism-shaped member made of a lighr transmissive material and using a remaning face as a reflecting plane. CONSTITUTION:The spherical projected parts 9 and 10 are provided on the orthogonal two faces 7 and 8 excepting an end face 6 of a rectangular prism- shaped member 5 made of a light transmissive material like glass, plastic, etc. The remaining face 11 is used as a reflecting plane. It is convenient to produce the parts 9 and 10, the reference faces 7 and 8 plus the plane 11 into one body by the injection molding and the like process. The light delivered from a light source 12 is made incident to the part 9 at one side of an image forming element 5. Thus the luminous flux is converged by the part 9 and reflected on the plane 11 to be vertically bent. The luminous flux is then radiated from the part 10 and converged to form an image 13.
