Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a transmission screen having a field of view of a wide angle, by inserting a transparent body having a triangular projection in parallel with a lenticular lens, between a Fresnel lens and the lenticular lens. CONSTITUTION:On the reverse side of a lenticular screen 1, a 60 deg. reverse V- shaped notch is formed, a transparent body 10 having a triangular projection corresponding to the notch concerned, and also a Fresnel lens 2 is placed under said transparent body. Incident light beams being parallel to an optical axis of the Fresnel lens 2 are totally reflected by one side of the triangular projection, are made incident to the other side, and also are refracted by a refraction surface 6 of a lens of the lenticular screen. Accordingly, when the light beams reflected by both the sides of the triangular projection are emitted from the lenticular screen, they have a very large diffusion angle as shown in the figure.
