Abstract

PURPOSE:To constitute the photo changeover switch on an optical guide and make possible the direct changing-over of transmission lines by rotating 90 deg. the refractive optical system formed by a prism-form mirror and a plane-form mirror by the rotating axis parallel to the incident light axis thereof. CONSTITUTION:The refractive optical system X is formed by a prism-form mirror 6 and a flat-plate-form mirror 7 opposing thereto and is constituted rotatably integrally about the rotating axis 5 parallel to the incident axis of light. Now, if the refractive optical system X is rotated 90 deg. about the axis 5, the beams B1, B2 enter the 1st surface 6a of the prism-form mirror 6 in the different positions upper and lower than the rotating axis 5 with said axis in-between. Hence, the refracted light enters the different positions of the beam direction of the flat-plate-form mirror 7 and the reflected lights B1, B2 thereof enter in the alternated positions of the 2nd surface of the prism-form mirror 6. As a result of this, the incident beams B1, B2 from the optical fibers 1, 2 are led to the optical fibers 4, 3 by being crossed. In this way, the photo changeover switch may be obtained.
