Abstract

PURPOSE:To readily make possible formation of multiple kinds of optical paths by disposing three optical fibers at a 120 deg. interval and using a mirror. CONSTITUTION:Three optical fibers 1 thru 3 with three microlenses 8 thru 10 are arrayed radially at a 120 deg. interval on one plane and a mirror 11 which is rotated and controlled by a control device 7 is disposed at the array intersecting point. Then, if the mirror 1 is rotated in such a manner that the reflecting faces of the mirror 11 become 30 deg. respectively to the respective optical axes of the optical fibers 1, 2, then the light having propagated in the optical fiber 1 is corrected to parallel rays by the microlens 8, after which the rays are reflected by the mirror 11 to be changed of the propagation direction by 60 deg.. These rays then enter the microlens 10 and are converged there. The converged ray is guided into the optical fiber 2. Further when the direction of the mirror 11 is changed, the light propagating in the optical fiber 2 is guided into the optical fiber 3 and the light propagating in the optical fiber 3 into the optical fiber 2.
