PURPOSE:To an obtain an optical device for separating and synthesizing a light beam at every wavelength, by placing a lens provided with a wavelength selective reflecting surface, in a state that it is tilted by a prescribed angle. CONSTITUTION:Two refractive index distribution type lenses 11, 13 provided with wavelength selective reflecting surfaces 12, 14 on one surface and optical fibers 16-19 on the other surface are placed by inclining said lenses so that the respective wavelength selective reflecting surfaces 12, 14 form an angle alpha. Plural wavelength light beams transmitted through one optical fiber 16 pass through an optical path 20, and a part of the wavelength light beams are reflected by the wavelength selective reflecting surface 12. The reflected light beams are made incident to the optical fiber 18. On the other hand, the transmitted light beams are partially reflected by the wavelength selective reflecting surface 14, and this reflected light beam transmits the reflecting surface 12 again, and is made incident to the optical fiber 17. On the other hand, the transmitted light beams are made incident to the optical fiber 19.
