Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform changing over of optical paths with low loss by letting a focusing type optical transmission body whose length on the central axis is nearly 1/4 period to the zigzag periods of light and which is formed with a reflecting film at the end face rotate with respect to a plurality of parallel optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:A stationary side optical fiber 101 and changeover changeover side optical fibers 102, 103 are parallel disposed. A focusing type optical transmission body 200 whose length on the optical center is nearly 1/4 period to the zigzag periods of light and which is formed with a reflecting film 300 at its end face is provided to the end faces thereof and further the central axis (x) thereof is shifted in parallel to the central axis x' of a rotating part 201 and the rotator 201 is so constituted as to rotate about the stationary side optical fiber 101. As a result, the light out from the stationary side optical fiber 101 is reflected by the reflecting film 300, propagates in the optical path b2 and enters the changeover side optical fiber 102 and therefore the optical path may be changed over to the fiber 103 with low loss by rotating the rotator 201.
