Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase visual field angles and to facilitate manufacture by forming total reflection parts on the slopes between the crests and troughs of a medium, and forming recessed surfaces on the peaks of the crests. CONSTITUTION:Total reflection surfaces are formed on the slopes 3 between crests 1 and troughs 2 in such a way that the rays incident to these parts transmit through the crests 1 after total reflection. Recessed surfaces like concave lenses are formed on the peaks 1a of the crests. Therefore, the light incident to the parts B corresponding to the crests 1 advances rectiliner in the medium, and diffuses by refracting on the lens-like recessed parts of the peak surfaces 1a. At this time, the light incident to the slopes 3, that is partial light of A or A' is refracted by total reflection and emits from the peak surfaces 1a of the crests 1.
