Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease light losses and to improve optical coupling to other optical systems by such constitution wherein a metal of good reflectivity is used in the part of a fixing jig of an optical transmission line adjacent to said line and the fixing jig is tightened isotropically with respect to the central axis of the optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A fixing jig 1 of good reflectivity is passed onto an optical tramsmission line 3 and its internal screw part 12 is tightened onto an external screw part 1, by which the taper 110 of the external screw part is pressed and fixed to the line 3. The light 4 made incident to the line 3 is reflected by the metal 11 of good reflectivity. Thereby, the fixing jig for optical transmission lines of less light losses and good optical coupling to other optical systems is obtained.
