Co.により製造されているミクロ孔質フィルム及びEXXAIREの名称でBay City,TXのEXXON Chemical Co.により製造されているようなミクロ孔質フィルム等の材料を挙げることができる。ポリマーブレンドを含む好適な通気性複合材料は、名称HYTRELブレンドP18−3097として、Clopay Corporation(Cincinnati,OH)から入手可能である。このような通気性複合材料は、国際公開第95/16746号及び米国特許第5,865,823号により詳述されている。不織布及び孔形成フィルムを含む他の通気性バックシートは、米国特許第5,571,096号に記述されている。例示的な好適なバックシートは、米国特許第6,107,537号に開示されている。他の好適な材料及び/又は製造技術には、限定はされないが、表面処理、特定のフィルムの選択及び加工、特定のフィラメントの選択及び加工、等が挙げられ、好適なバックシート26を提供するために使用され得る。
・コアカバーのダスティング層への接合、

・バリアカフ60又はガスケッティングカフ70形成のため、弾性部材64の不織布及び/又はフィルムへの接合、
・バックシート26形成のため、不織布の蒸気透過性フィルムへの接合、
・バリアカフのトップシート24への接合、
・受入部材54のトップシート24への接合、
・耳部40、42のバックシート26への接合、
・コア吸収性ポリマー材料用のコア基材層が挙げられる。
不織材料が別の不織布に接合される場合もある。また、不織布がフィルムに接合される場合もある。
接着剤組成物は、第1の非晶性α−オレフィン共重合体と、第2のポリマーとを含む。
非晶性共重合体は、ブテンを含む非晶性又はランダム重合体と、エチレン、プロペン、ペンテン、オクテン等の1種以上のα−オレフィンモノマーを含む。第2のポリマーは、希釈剤、粘度調整剤、増量剤、又は可塑剤として機能し得る非晶質材料を含む。
この相溶性は、少なくとも1種のブテンモノマー(1−ブテン、cis−及びtrans−2−ブテン、及びイソブチレン)異性体を含む液体非晶性材料に由来する。従来の炭化水素特性を有するホワイトオイルのような従来の可塑化油とは異なり、有用な材料は十分な相溶性を有し、よって追加の処理可能特性を改善し、粘度を低下させ、凝集特性を改善しつつ接着結合を維持する。ポリマーのブレンドの「相溶性」という用語は、本開示で使用される場合、(1)材料が均一なホットメルトに溶け込むこと、及び(2)構造的な目的のため、非晶性1−ブテンポリマー及び第2の非晶質ポリマーの重量による割合が70/30から50/50である混合物の凝集強さを維持することを意味する。好ましい材料は、ポリイソブチレンポリマー等の相溶性増量剤、希釈剤、粘度調整剤を含む。ポリマーは、イソブチレン単位の大部分を占め、以下のように表せる。
[−C(CH3)2−CH2−]n
ここで、n=15〜75である。ポリイソブチレン等の好ましい材料は、分子量が約200〜20,000、約200〜5,000、又は約500〜3,000の粘性の液体である。好ましい液体材料は、100℃でのセイボルト秒(SUS)粘度が約100〜20,000である。ポリイソブチレンは、ガス透過性が低く、酸、アルカリ、塩の溶液の作用に対して高い耐性を持ち、誘電率が高いことを特性とする。ポリイソブチレンは、日光及び紫外線の作用により、徐々に分解する(カーボンブラックの添加により、この進行は遅くなる)。産業上、ポリイソブチレンは、−80〜−100℃の温度でのモノマーのイオン(AlCl3触媒による)重合体によって製造され、ゴム業界の通常の機器を使用して加工される。ポリイソブチレンは、天然ゴム又は合成ゴム、ポリエチレン、ポリ塩化ビニル、及びフェノールホルムアルデヒド樹脂と容易に結合する。
・トップシートを下にある不織布層に接合するための、らせんスプレー又はスロットコーティングにおける構造接着剤の塗布、
・獲得層又は分配層をコアカバーに接合するための、スロットコーティングを介した構造接着剤の塗布、
・カフを備える不織布材料とバックシートとの間に位置する構造接着剤のビーズの塗布、
・吸収性物品の長手方向縁に封をするようにトップシートをバックシートに接合するための、らせんスプレー又はスロットコーティングにおける構造接着剤の塗布、
・ランディング区画(すなわち、受入部材)をバックシートに接合するための、スロットコーティングを使用する構造接着剤の塗布、
・コアカバーをダスティング層に接合するための、スロットコーティングを使用する構造接着剤の塗布、
・コアをバックシートに接合するための、らせんスプレーにおける構造接着剤の塗布、 ・カフを備える不織布材料を、バックシートを備える不織布材料に接合するらせんスプレーにおける構造接着剤の塗布、が挙げられる。
ホットメルト接着性合成物は、以下に説明するように、溶融混合で調製されたが、具体的な構成要素や当該構成要素の量は、以下の表2に示す。

ポリオレフィン材料は非晶質であるため、はっきりとした又は明確な融点を持たない。非晶質ポリマーは、温度上昇に伴い固体から徐々に軟化し、液体材料へと変化するのである。多くの場合、ガラス転移又は溶融温度が明確に定義されないのである。したがって、定義される温度としては通常、ディスク状のポリマー試料を毎分2℃又は毎分−12℃(10°F)の温度に曝し、鉄球(グラム単位)の試験物体が当該試料を貫通して落下するほど試料が軟化する精確な温度が測定される。摂氏又は華氏で報告されたポリマーの軟化点は、通常ポリマーの熱耐性、有用な塗布温度、凝固点を示すため、重要である。
積層体は、25.4mm/1インチ幅のストリップとなるように、幅方向に切断された。
剥離力は、室温下において50.8cm/秒(20インチ/秒)でTMaxプルテスターを使用して積層体を剥がし、ピーク力を15秒の期間で平均化することで測定された。
Claims (15)
- 使い捨て吸収性物品であって、長手方向中心線及び横方向中心線、前側腰縁部を有する前側腰部領域、後側腰縁部を有する後側腰部領域、前記前側腰部領域と前記後側腰部領域の間に配置された股領域と、前記前側腰縁部と前記後側腰縁部とを接合する2つの離間した長手方向側縁部とを有する使い捨て吸収性物品であって、
a)トップシートと、
b)前記トップシートの下のバックシートと、
c)前記トップシートと前記バックシートとの間に配置され、コアカバー、ダスティング層、捕捉層、分配層、貯蔵部材の少なくとも1つを有する吸収性コアと、
d)以下から成る群から選択された少なくとも1つの追加要素
i)前記吸収性物品が装着された際に、前記前側腰部領域と前記後側腰部領域とを接合する締結システムと、
ii)前記長手方向側縁部のうちの1つの内周側に隣接して配置されるバリアカフと、
iii)前記長手方向側縁部と、前記バリアカフとの間に配置されたガスケッティングカフと、
iv)前記前側腰部領域内に配置された前耳部と、
v)前記後側腰部領域内に配置された後耳部と、
vi)受入部材と、
e)少なくとも2つの吸収性物品を互いに接合するのに適したホットメルト接着剤組成物であって、
(i)1−ブテンを40%超含む非晶質ポリオレフィン組成物と、
(ii)少なくとも1種のブテンモノマーを含み、少なくとも1000(MWn)の分子量を有し、前記ポリオレフィンに対し相溶性を持つ第2の非晶質ポリマーと、から基本的に成るホットメルト接着剤組成物という要素の組み合わせを有する、吸収性物品。 - 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記トップシートを下にある不織布層に接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記バリアカフが形成されるように、弾性材料を不織材料に接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、弾性材料を前記バックシートに接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記捕捉層を前記コアカバーに接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記分配層を前記コアカバーに接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記トップシートを、前記吸収性物品の長手方向縁部に隣接した前記バックシートに接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記受入部材を前記バックシートに接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記コアカバーを前記ダスティング層に接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記コアカバーを前記バックシートに接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記ホットメルト接着剤は、前記ダスティング層を前記バックシートに接合させる、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記接着剤は、実質的に粘着剤を含まない、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記第2の非晶質ポリマーは、1500〜6000の分子量を有するポリイソブチレンを含む、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記接着剤の密度は、0.9g/cm3未満である、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 吸収性物品を組み立てる方法であって、
a)ホットメルト接着剤組成物を供給する工程であって、ここで前記接着剤は、
(i)1−ブテンを40%超含む非晶質ポリオレフィン組成物と、
(ii)少なくとも1種のブテンモノマーを含み、少なくとも1000(MWn)の分子量を有し、前記ポリオレフィンに対し相溶性を持つ第2の非晶質ポリマーと、を含み、実質的に粘着剤を含まず、
b)複数の吸収性物品構成要素を供給する工程と、
c)前記接着剤を使用して、前記吸収性物品構成要素の少なくとも1つを、前記吸収性物品構成要素の他の1つに接合して、前記吸収性物品を組み立てる工程と、を含む方法。
