Claims (1)
- 被加工物を保持する水平な保持面を有する保持手段と、先端に加工工具を該保持面に平行な回転軸心で回転可能に装着するスピンドルを備えた加工手段と、該保持手段と該加工手段とを相対的に接近及び離間する方向に移動させる移動手段と、を備える加工装置を用い、該スピンドルに研磨工具を装着して該保持手段の該保持面に保持された被加工物の矩形形状の矩形側面を研磨する研磨方法であって、
被加工物は、該保持手段の該保持面に該矩形側面が該保持手段外周縁から突出して保持され、
該研磨工具は、該回転軸心を中心とした所定の円周上に円環状の研磨面を有する研磨砥石を備え、該円環状の研磨砥石は、被加工物の該矩形側面全面を収容する内径に形成されており、
該研磨工具は、該回転軸心を該保持手段の該保持面に対して垂直方向に且つ、被加工物の該矩形側面の上辺側から該矩形側面全面が該研磨砥石の内径に収容される位置に相対的に移動して、該矩形側面を研磨することを特徴とする研磨方法。
