Claims (10)
- 光拡散光ファイバにおいて、
コアガラス組成物から構成された、前記ファイバ内のコア領域、および
前記コア領域を取り囲み、前記コアガラス組成物とは実質的に異なるクラッドガラス組成物から構成された、前記ファイバ内の内側クラッド、
を備え、
前記コアガラス組成物は、90質量%未満のSiO2を有する低融点ドープシリカガラスを含み、前記ファイバの開口数は0.4以上である、光拡散光ファイバ。 - 前記内側クラッドを取り囲み、高分子組成物から構成された、前記ファイバ内の外側クラッドをさらに備えた、請求項1記載の光拡散光ファイバ。
- 前記外側クラッドが、(i)内側層および散乱粒子がドープされた外側散乱層、もしくは(ii)散乱粒子がドープされた散乱層、をさらに含む、請求項2記載の光拡散光ファイバ。
- 光拡散光ファイババンドルにおいて、
散乱要素を含むジャケット、および
前記ジャケット内に配列された複数の光ファイバ、
を備え、
前記光ファイバの各々は、
(a)コアガラス組成物から構成されたコア領域、および
(b)前記コア領域を取り囲み、前記コアガラス組成物とは実質的に異なるクラッドガラス組成物から構成された内側クラッド、
を備え、
前記光ファイバの各々の前記コアガラス組成物は、90質量%未満のSiO2を有する低融点ドープシリカガラスを含み、前記ファイバの開口数は0.4以上である、光拡散光ファイババンドル。 - (i)前記散乱要素が、前記ジャケット内の前記複数の光ファイバの間に配置された散乱充填剤である、または(ii)前記散乱充填剤に散乱粒子がドープされている、請求項4記載の光拡散光ファイババンドル。
- 光拡散光ファイババンドルにおいて、
透明ジャケット、および
前記ジャケット内に配列された複数の光ファイバ、
を備え、
前記光ファイバの各々は、
(a)コアガラス組成物から構成されたコア領域と、
(b)前記コア領域を取り囲み、前記コアガラス組成物とは実質的に異なるクラッドガラス組成物から構成された内側クラッドと、
(c)前記内側クラッドを取り囲み、高分子組成物および複数の散乱要素から構成された、前記ファイバ内の外側クラッドと、
を備え、
前記光ファイバの各々の前記コアガラス組成物は、90質量%未満のSiO2を有する低融点ドープシリカガラスを含み、前記ファイバの開口数は0.4以上である、光拡散光ファイババンドル。 - 前記コアガラス組成物が、ソーダ石灰ケイ酸塩ガラス、アルカリホウケイ酸ガラスおよびアルミノケイ酸塩ガラスからなる群より選択される、請求項1または2記載の光拡散光ファイバ、もしくは請求項4から6いずれか1項記載の光拡散光ファイババンドル。
- 前記ファイババンドルが、0.5から5dB/mの光散乱を示す、請求項4から7いずれか1項記載の光拡散光ファイババンドル。
- 前記光ファイバの各々が、ある線引き温度でのダウンドロー法を使用して製造され、
前記コアガラス組成物および前記クラッドガラス組成物が、前記線引き温度で、該コアガラス組成物および該クラッドガラス組成物の間に1から10ポアズの絶対粘度不一致が存在するように選択される、請求項1または2記載の光拡散光ファイバ、もしくは請求項4から6いずれか1項記載の光拡散光ファイババンドル。 - 前記光ファイバの各々が、ダウンドロー法を使用して製造され、前記低融点ドープシリカガラスに、ガス状または溶融物形態にあるドーパントが前記ダウンドロー法中にドープされる、請求項4または6記載の光拡散光ファイババンドル。
