Abstract
Description
本発明は、被膜形成樹脂および担体と会合した触媒を含む被覆組成物、ならびに基材を被覆する方法および被覆された基材に関する。
被覆物は、さまざまな工業において、種々の金属製および非金属製基材に使用されている。ある被覆物は、特に表面再仕上げ工業において、2つまたはそれより多い成分が接触するとすぐに反応し始めるので、付与の直前まで個別に維持される2つまたはそれより多い成分として提供されなければならない。被覆物を2つまたはそれより多い個別成分として供給する実施であって、周囲硬化温度または中度硬化温度が必要とされる実施は、一般的である。そのような例は、ポリイソシアネートおよびポリオール、ポリエポキシドおよびポリアミン、ならびにポリ無水物およびポリオールを包含する。例えば自動車表面再仕上げ工業において、ポリオールおよび触媒が1つの被覆成分として一般に供給され、ポリイソシアネートが他の被覆成分として供給される。次に、これらの成分が、秤量され、混合され、自動車に吹き付けられ、硬化されてポリウレタンコーティングが形成される。

実施形態において、本発明は、被膜形成樹脂および担体と会合した触媒を含む被覆組成物であって、該担体へ剪断力を加えるときに、少なくともいくらかの該触媒が該担体から放出され得る被覆組成物に関する。
前記のように、着色剤は、ナノ粒子分散系を包含するがそれに限定されない分散系の形態であることができる。ナノ粒子分散系は、所望される可視色および/または不透明性および/または視覚効果を生じる1つまたはそれより多い高度分散ナノ粒子着色剤および/または着色剤粒子を含むことができる。ナノ粒子分散系は、150nm未満、例えば70nm未満、または30nm未満の粒径を有する顔料または染料のような着色剤を含むことができる。ナノ粒子は、ストックの有機または無機顔料を、0.5mm未満の粒径を有する粉砕媒体で摩砕することによって生成することができる。ナノ粒子分散系およびその作製法の例は、米国特許第6875800B2号に明示されており、該米国特許は参照により本明細書に組み入れられる。ナノ粒子分散系は、結晶化、沈殿、気相凝縮、および化学的摩耗(すなわち部分溶解)によって製造することもできる。
Claims (17)
- 被覆組成物であって、
(a)被膜形成樹脂、および
(b)担体と会合した触媒、
を含み、少なくともいくらかの該触媒が、剪断力の付与のときに、該担体から放出され得、該担体が該被膜形成樹脂から形成されていない、被覆組成物。 - 前記被膜形成樹脂が水性組成物を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記触媒が、前記担体内に含有されているか、または前記担体によってカプセル封入されている、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記担体が、架橋ポリマーおよび/またはコポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記担体が、
(a)ゼラチン、または
(b)ポリオキシメチレン尿素ホルムアルデヒド、
を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。 - 前記触媒が、金属塩を含む触媒、または有機金属触媒を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記触媒が、ジブチルスズジラウレートを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記触媒が、該触媒および前記担体の全固形分の40〜90wt%を構成する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記剪断力が、アトマイザーまたはスプレーガンによって与えられる、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記被覆組成物が、架橋剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の被覆組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の被覆組成物で少なくとも部分的に被覆された基材。
- 前記基材が乗り物の一部である、請求項11に記載の基材。
- 基材を被覆する方法であって、請求項1に記載の被覆組成物を該基材の少なくとも一部に付与することを含み、該付与が、剪断力を担体に与えて該担体から触媒を放出させるために行われる、方法。
- 前記担体に付与される前記剪断力を増加させることが、放出される触媒の量を増加させる、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記剪断力が、アトマイザーまたはスプレーガンによって誘発される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 基材を被覆する方法であって、
請求項1に記載の被覆組成物に剪断力を付与し、
次に、該基材の少なくとも一部に該被覆組成物を付与すること、
を含む、方法。 - 前記基材が乗り物の一部である、請求項16に記載の被覆方法。
