Abstract
【解決手段】機関排気通路内に、排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するためのパティキュレートフィルタ24が配置される。パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量を減少させるためにパティキュレートフィルタの温度をあらかじめ定められたPM除去温度まで上昇させてPM除去温度に保持するPM除去制御が行われる。パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量があらかじめ定められた設定捕集量以下であると判別されたときに、パティキュレートフィルタのアッシュ付着量を減少させるためにパティキュレートフィルタの温度をあらかじめ定められたアッシュ脱離温度まで上昇させてアッシュ脱離温度に保持するアッシュ脱離制御が行われる。アッシュ脱離温度はアッシュを酸化カルシウムに変換するのに適した温度である。

Claims (11)
- 機関排気通路内に配置され、排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するためのパティキュレートフィルタと、
前記パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量を減少させるために前記パティキュレートフィルタの温度をあらかじめ定められたPM除去温度まで上昇させて該PM除去温度に保持するPM除去制御を行うように構成されたPM除去手段と、
前記パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量があらかじめ定められた設定捕集量以下か否かを判別し、前記パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量が前記設定捕集量以下であると判別したときに、前記パティキュレートフィルタのアッシュ付着量を減少させるために前記パティキュレートフィルタの温度をあらかじめ定められたアッシュ脱離温度まで上昇させて該アッシュ脱離温度に保持するアッシュ脱離制御を行うように構成されたアッシュ脱離手段と、
を具備し、
前記アッシュ脱離温度は前記アッシュを酸化カルシウムに変換するのに適した温度である、
内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記アッシュ脱離制御において前記パティキュレートフィルタの温度が前記アッシュ脱離温度以上に保持されている時間が、前記PM除去制御において前記パティキュレートフィルタの温度が前記PM除去温度以上に保持されている時間よりも長くなるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記PM除去制御中に前記パティキュレートフィルタから流出した排気ガス中の酸化炭素の濃度の前記PM除去制御による増加分があらかじめ定められた設定値以下になったときに前記パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量が前記設定捕集量以下であると判別するように構成されている、請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記PM除去制御が終了されたときに前記パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量が前記設定捕集量以下であると判別するように構成されている、請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記パティキュレートフィルタのアッシュ付着量があらかじめ定められた第1の設定付着量よりも多いか否かを判別し、前記パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量が前記設定捕集量以下でありかつ前記パティキュレートフィルタのアッシュ付着量が前記第1の設定付着量よりも多いと判別したときに前記アッシュ脱離制御を行うように構成されている、請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記アッシュ脱離制御が中断されたときには、次いで前記パティキュレートフィルタの粒子状物質捕集量が前記設定捕集量以下であると判別したときに、前記パティキュレートフィルタのアッシュ付着量が前記第1の設定付着量よりも少なくても、前記アッシュ脱離制御を行うように構成されている、請求項5に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記アッシュ脱離制御中に前記アッシュ付着量があらかじめ定められた第2の設定付着量以下になったか否かを判別し、前記アッシュ脱離制御中に前記アッシュ付着量が前記第2の設定付着量以下になったと判別したときに前記アッシュ脱離制御を終了するように構成されている、請求項1から6までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記パティキュレートフィルタの圧力損失があらかじめ定められたしきい値以下になったときに前記アッシュ付着量が前記第2の設定付着量以下になったと判別するように構成されており、前記しきい値は、前記PM除去制御が終了されたときの前記パティキュレートフィルタの圧力損失よりも小さく設定されている、請求項7に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記内燃機関から排出された排気ガス中のSOx濃度と前記パティキュレートフィルタに流入する排気ガス中のSOx濃度とが互いにほぼ等しくなっており、前記アッシュ脱離手段は、前記アッシュ脱離制御を行うべきときに、前記パティキュレートフィルタに流入する排気ガスの空燃比をほぼ理論空燃比又は理論空燃比よりもリッチに保持しながら前記パティキュレートフィルタの温度をアッシュ脱離温度に保持するように構成されている、請求項1から8までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離温度が前記PM除去温度よりも高く設定されている、請求項1から9までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アッシュ脱離温度が約620℃から約800℃に設定されている、請求項1から10までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
