PVBのポリビニルアルコールおよびポリビニルアセテート含有率の測定は、ASTM D 1396−92に準拠して行われる。アセタール化度(=ブチラール含有率)を、100に達するためにASTM D 1396−92に準拠して測定されたポリビニルアルコールとポリビニルアセテートの含有率の合計に添加しなければならない割合として計算できる。質量%のmol%への変換は、当業者に公知の式によって行われる。
照射のために使用されるエアマス2条件にフィルタリングされた50KLuxのキセノンランプを備えたUV−vis分光計を使用して吸収スペクトルを記録した。
PVB 1:
100質量部のポリビニルアルコールMowiol 29−99 (Kuraray Europe GmbHの商品)を、1075質量部の水中で、90℃で加熱しながら溶解させた。温度40℃で、56.8質量部のn−ブチルアルデヒドを添加し、且つ温度12℃で、撹拌しながら、75質量部の20%の塩酸を添加した。ポリビニルブチラール(PVB)が沈殿した後、混合物を69℃に加熱し、この温度で2時間撹拌した。室温に冷却した後にPVBを分離し、水で洗浄して中性にして、乾燥させた。ポリビニルアルコール含有率20.0質量%(28.8mol%)およびポリビニルアセテート含有率1.3質量%(1mol%)を有するPVBが得られた。
例1に準拠してPVBの調製を行った; 加水分解度93.1mol%を有する100質量部のポリビニルアルコールMowiol 30−92 (Kuraray Europe GmbHの製品)、および73質量部のn−ブチルアルデヒドを使用した。ポリビニルアルコール含有率11.6質量%(17.7mol%)およびポリビニルアセテート含有率9.1質量%(7.1mol%)を有するPVBが得られた。

- 可塑剤含有ポリビニルアセタールに基づく少なくとも2つの個別のフィルムで構成される、合わせガラス用のフォトクロミック中間層フィルムであって、前記個別のフィルムが少なくとも1つのフォトクロミック化合物を含み且つ少なくとも5K異なるガラス転移温度を有することを特徴とする前記フォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 前記個別のフィルムが、少なくとも5質量%異なる可塑剤含有率を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 前記個別のフィルムのうち、第二の個別のフィルムが、14質量%未満のポリビニルアルコール基の割合を有するポリビニルアセタールを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 前記個別のフィルムのうち、第一の個別のフィルムが、17〜22質量%のポリビニルアルコール基の割合を有するポリビニルアセタールを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 前記個別のフィルムのうち、第二の個別のフィルムが、0.1〜11mol%のポリビニルアセテート基の割合を有するポリビニルアセタールを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 前記個別のフィルムのうち、第一の個別のフィルムが、5〜8mol%のポリビニルアセテート基の割合を有するポリビニルアセタールを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 個別のフィルムが、トリアリールメタン、スチルベン、アザスチルベン、ニトロン、フルギド、スピロピラン、ナフトピラン、スピロオキサジンおよびキノンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのフォトクロミック化合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 前記中間層フィルムが、少なくとも3つの個別のフィルムで構成され、その際、中間層フィルムの外側上の2つの個別のフィルムは、中間層フィルムの内側上の個別のフィルムのガラス転移温度に対して少なくとも5K異なるガラス転移温度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 中間層フィルムが個別のフィルムの同時押出によって製造されることを特徴とする、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルム。
- 自動車分野において、風防ガラスにおいて、建築分野においてまたはファサード部材における、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載のフォトクロミック中間層フィルムの使用。
