Abstract
Description
本開示は一般に、パス・スルー触媒基材を製造するための装置および方法、より詳しくは、多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分を備えるパス・スルー触媒基材を製造するための装置および方法に関する。
囲の、パス・スルー触媒基材102の多数の異なった気孔率に基づいたプロットを含む。プロット142は、25%の気孔率を有する多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分を表わす。プロット144は、40%の気孔率を有する多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分を表わす。プロット146は、50%の気孔率を有する多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分を表わす。プロット148は、60%の気孔率を有する多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分を表わす。
Claims (6)
- 触媒基材の入口端と出口端との間に延在する流路を画定する複数の多孔性セラミック基材壁と、
前記流路内の前記基材壁の交差隅に配置された複数の多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分であって、約1.38J/cm3/K未満の熱容量を各々有する複数の多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分と、
前記多孔性セラミック基材壁と前記多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分とをコーティングする触媒ウォッシュコート層と、
を含むことを特徴とする、パス・スルー触媒基材。 - 前記多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分が、約50%〜約75%、例えば約55%〜約65%の範囲の気孔率を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のパス・スルー触媒基材。
- 前記多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分の各々の前記熱容量が約0.69J/cm3/K〜約1.38J/cm3/Kの範囲であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載のパス・スルー触媒基材。
- 前記多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分が、約40μm〜約400μmの範囲の曲率半径を有する弧状表面を備えることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のパス・スルー触媒基材。
- 前記多孔性セラミック面取り隅部分の細孔分布が、約0.5μm〜約7μm、例えば約1μm〜約5μmの範囲のメジアン細孔径を包含することを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のパス・スルー触媒基材。
- 複数の前記多孔性セラミック基材壁の中央部分が各々、約30μm〜約150μm、例えば約50μm〜約100μmの範囲の断面壁厚を備えることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のパス・スルー触媒基材。
