[1]
(A)ポリアミド樹脂100質量部に対して、(B)0.01質量部以上5質量部以下の亜硫酸及び/又は亜硫酸誘導体、を含有するポリアミド樹脂組成物であって、

本実施形態のポリアミド樹脂組成物は、(A)ポリアミド樹脂100質量部に対して、(B)0.01質量部以上5質量部以下の亜硫酸及び/又は亜硫酸誘導体、を含有する。このように、本実施形態のポリアミド樹脂組成物は、(A)成分と(B)成分とを所望の割合で含有しているため、成形などの溶融加工の際に生じる水分率による分子量変動の幅が低減される。その結果、十分な色調ないし機械特性を確保しつつ、高分子量化することができる。
本実施形態において、「ポリアミド樹脂」とは、主鎖中にアミド結合(−NHCO−)を有する重合体であるポリアミド樹脂を意味する。ポリアミド樹脂としては、特に限定されないが、例えば、ジアミン及びジカルボン酸の縮合重合で得られるポリアミド樹脂、ラクタムの開環重合で得られるポリアミド樹脂、アミノカルボン酸の自己縮合で得られるポリアミド樹脂、及びこれらのポリアミド樹脂を構成する2種類以上の単量体の共重合で得られる共重合物が挙げられる。これらのポリアミド樹脂は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本実施形態における(A)成分の製造方法としては、特に限定されるものではなく、例えば、以下に記載するように種々の方法を採用できる。
2)熱溶融重合法で得られたポリアミドを融点以下の温度で固体状態を維持したまま重合度を上昇させる方法(「熱溶融重合・固相重合法」);
3)ジカルボン酸及びジアミン又はその混合物の水溶液又は水の懸濁液を加熱し、析出したプレポリマーをさらにニーダーなどの押出機で再び溶融して、その重合度を上昇させる方法(「プレポリマー・押出重合法」);
4)ジカルボン酸及びジアミン又はその混合物の水溶液又は水の懸濁液を加熱し、析出したプレポリマーをさらにポリアミドの融点以下の温度で固体状態を維持して、その重合度を上昇させる方法(「プレポリマー・固相重合法」);
5)ジカルボン酸及びジアミン又はその混合物を、固体状態を維持したまま重合させる方法(「モノマー・固相重合法」);
6)「ジカルボン酸及びジアミンの塩」又はその混合物を、固体状態を維持したまま重合させる方法(「塩・固相重合法」);
7)ジカルボン酸と等価なジカルボン酸ハライド及びジアミンを用いて重合させる方法(「溶液法」)。
本実施形態において、「亜硫酸及び/又は亜硫酸誘導体」とは、亜硫酸やその誘導体を示す。亜硫酸とは、H2SO3で表される硫黄のオキソ酸であり、二酸化硫黄の水溶液として存在する。亜硫酸誘導体とは、亜硫酸H2SO3の1つ以上のHが有機置換基(特に限定されないが、例えば、メチル基、エチル基、n−プロピル基、i−プロピル基、n−ブチル基、i−ブチル基、t−ブチル基、n−ペンチル、n−ヘキシル、n−オクチル基、2−エチルヘキシル基、デシル基、ラウリル基、トリデシル基、ステアリル基、及びオレイル基などの脂肪族基、フェニル基及びビフェニル基などの芳香族基が挙げられる。)によって置換された亜硫酸エステルや、亜硫酸アンモニウム塩や亜硫酸金属塩(金属としては、特に限定されないが、例えば、元素周期律表の1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、11、12、13族元素及びスズ、鉛などの金属が挙げられる。)を例示することができる。上記亜硫酸及び/又は亜硫酸誘導体は、1種を用いてもよく、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
本実施形態のポリアミド樹脂組成物においては、必要に応じ、本実施形態の目的を損なわない範囲で、(A)、(B)成分以外の成分を含有することができる。本実施形態のポリアミド樹脂組成物に含まれうる他の成分としては、他のポリマーやポリアミド樹脂に用いられる通常の添加剤、例えば、無機充填材、成形性改良剤、着色剤、難燃剤、可塑剤、安定剤、酸化防止剤、紫外線吸収剤、結晶核剤等として使用されているものも用いることができる。
本実施形態のポリアミド樹脂組成物を製造する方法としては、(A)成分に(B)成分を添加する方法であれば特に限定されず、例えば、溶融混練にて(A)成分に(B)成分を添加する方法や、ポリアミドモノマー水溶液の段階の(A)成分前駆体に対して(B)成分を加えた状態から重合させる方法が挙げられる。
本実施形態の成形体は、上記実施形態のポリアミド樹脂組成物を含むものである。このような成形体は、従来のポリアミド樹脂から得られる成形体に比べ、色調、表面外観、耐熱変色、耐候性、耐熱エージング性、耐光性、耐薬品性などに優れる。そのため、自動車部品、電子電気部品、工業機械部品、各種ギア、押出用途などの各種部品への応用が期待される。
(1−1)ギ酸相対粘度(RV)
ギ酸相対粘度(RV)は、重合体をギ酸に加えた溶液の粘度とギ酸自身の粘度とを比較することによって得た。具体的な測定方法については、ASTM−D789に準拠して実施するものとした。より詳細には、90質量%ギ酸(水10質量%)にポリアミドを8.4質量%になるように溶解させた溶液を用いて、25℃で測定したRV値を採用した。
日本電色社製色差計ND−300Aを用いて、各例で得られたペレットのb値を測定した。なお、b値が小さいものほど色調が良好である。
各例で得られたペレットをISO 15512に準拠した方法でカールフィッシャー水分計(三菱化学アナリテック社製 電量滴定方式微量水分測定装置CA−200型)を用いて水分率(質量%)を測定した。
(2−1)乾燥と水分調整
後述する各例で得られたペレットを80℃で24時間減圧乾燥し、含有水分率を0.03質量%未満のほぼ絶乾状態とした。このサンプルで乾燥時水分測定、成形を実施し、乾燥時成形体のRVの測定を実施し、引張強度、引張伸度の測定も併せて実施した。一方、調湿サンプルは、上記絶乾状態のペレットを23℃、50RH%の状態の部屋で、厚みが2cmほどとなるように広げて、水分率が0.1質量%になるまで吸湿させた。具体的には、30分、1時間と経時的に水分を測定し、0.1質量%になる時間を予測して、その時間になってからペレットを回収した。このような調湿サンプルの水分を測定すると同時に、アルミ袋に入れ、大気中の水分を吸湿しないようにして保存することとした。
各例で得られたペレットから、射出成形機を用いて、ISO 3167に準拠し、多目的試験片(4mm厚)を作製した。射出成形装置として日精樹脂工業(株)社製PS40Eを用い、上記試験片2個取りの金型を取り付けた。なお、シリンダー温度は融点+約20℃でPA66では285℃、金型温度80℃に設定した。さらに、射出25秒、冷却15秒、可塑化量90mm(クッション量約10mm)の射出成形条件で、ポリアミド樹脂ペレットからダンベル状の成形体を得た。
ISO527に準じて、(2−2)で得られた成形体の引張強度及び引張伸度を測定した。ここで、チャック間距離115mm、引張速度50mm/分の条件で、ダンベルの引張強度と引張伸度を測定した。なお、引張伸度については、チャック間の距離に対しての破断時の伸度(変位)の割合で算出することとし、20%を超える場合は「>20」と表記した。
上記(2−2)で成形した成形体の一部を切り出し、(1−1)ギ酸相対粘度(RV)同様にギ酸相対粘度を測定した。
成形前のペレットのRVに対する各ペレット条件(乾燥時、調湿時)での成形後の成形体でのRVの割合をそれぞれ算出した。すなわち、RV保持率(%)=100×成形後のペレット/成形前のペレットにより算出した。例えば、成形前のペレットのRVが85であり、成形後の成形体のRVが88である場合は、RV保持率(%):100×88/85=104%と算出した。
乾燥品ペレットを成形した乾燥時成形体でのRV保持率(%)と調湿品ペレットを成形した調湿時成形体でのRV保持率(%)の差を水分でのRV保持率差として表記した。
40Lのオートクレーブ内で、ヘキサメチレンジアミンとアジピン酸の当量塩の50質量%水溶液を用いて、公知の方法でポリアミドを溶融重合した。また、溶融ポリアミドをオートクレーブ下部ノズルからストランド状に取り出し、水で冷却固化して、ストランドカッターでペレット化した。このペレットのRVは47であり、水分率は0.08質量%であった。
ポリアミド66(上記のとおり重合したポリアミド66:25℃のギ酸相対粘度(RV)47、水分率0.08質量%、本実施例中では、「PA66」とも略記する)100質量部に、亜硫酸Na(和光純薬工業(株)社製亜硫酸ナトリウム無水物)0.13質量部を配合した。次いで、二軸押出機(COPERION社製ZSK25)を用いて溶融混練を行った。この際、スクリュー回転数300rpm、シリンダー温度330℃とし、先端ノズル付近の樹脂温度は337℃であった。押出レートは20kg/hrであり、平均滞留時間は45秒であった。以上の条件下、減圧度0.09MPaで押出を行った。先端ノズルからストランド状にポリアミド樹脂を排出し、水冷・カッティングを行って、ペレットを得た。押出時の樹脂温度、乾燥後のペレット水分、乾燥後のペレットを成形した成形体のRV、そのRV保持率、引張強度、引張伸度、調湿後のペレット水分、調湿後のペレットを成形した成形体のRV、そのRV保持率を測定した。これらの評価結果を表1に示す。
表1に記載の亜硫酸Na量に変更した以外は実施例1と同様の方法で、実施例2のペレットないし成形体を得た。評価結果を表1に示す。

表1に記載の亜硫酸Na量に変更し、押出機のシリンダー温度を280℃、減圧度を0.01MPaに変更した以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でペレットを得た。この段階では、RVが低かったため、窒素気流下で、210℃に加熱したタンブラー型固相重合装置にてで約4時間固相重合して実施例4のペレットないし成形体を得た。評価結果を表1に示す。
亜硫酸Naの代わりに亜硫酸K(和光純薬工業(株)社製亜硫酸カリウム)を、表1の添加量に変更した以外は実施例1と同様の方法で、実施例5のペレットないし成形体を得た。評価結果を表1に示す。
亜硫酸Naの代わりに次亜リン酸Na(太平化学産業株式会社製 次亜リン酸ナトリウム)0.13質量部を配合した以外は実施例1と同様の方法で比較例1のペレットないし成形体を得た。評価結果を表1に示す。
上記で作成したRV47のポリアミド66を、窒素気流下で、210℃に加熱したタンブラー型固相重合装置を用いて約5時間固相重合を行い、比較例2のペレットないし成形体を得た。評価結果を表1に示す。
実施例4の調整の途中段階(押出のみで固相重合なし)でのRVが低い比較例3のペレットないし成形体を得た。評価結果を表1に示す。
亜硫酸Naの代わりにジフェニルスルフィド(和光純薬工業(株)社製 ジフェニルスルフィド、表中では「Ph2S」と表記)0.13質量部を配合した以外は実施例1と同様の方法でペレットを得た。この例では、RVが低かったため、窒素気流下で、210℃に加熱したタンブラー型固相重合装置を用いて約5時間固相重合を行い、比較例4のペレットないし成形体を得た。評価結果を表1に示す。
表1に記載の亜硫酸Na量に変更した以外は、実施例1と同様に比較例5の樹脂組成物を調製した。なお、本例の樹脂組成物を実施例1と同様の方法で押出に供したところ、紡口でのストランド切れが頻繁に発生し、安定して押出を継続することができなかった。そのため、本例の樹脂組成物について各種の評価を行うことはできなかった。結果を表1に示す。
Claims (8)
- (A)ポリアミド樹脂100質量部に対して、(B)0.01質量部以上5質量部以下の亜硫酸及び/又は亜硫酸誘導体、を含有するポリアミド樹脂組成物であって、
前記ポリアミド樹脂組成物におけるギ酸相対粘度(RV)が60以上400以下である、ポリアミド樹脂組成物。 - 前記(A)成分が、ポリアミド66を含む、請求項1に記載のポリアミド樹脂組成物。
- 前記(B)成分が、亜硫酸金属塩を含む、請求項1又は2に記載のポリアミド樹脂組成物。
- 前記(A)成分100質量部に対する前記(B)成分の含有量が、0.03質量部以上1質量部以下である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のポリアミド樹脂組成物。
- 前記ポリアミド樹脂組成物におけるギ酸相対粘度(RV)が、70以上300以下である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のポリアミド樹脂組成物。
- ギ酸相対粘度(RV)が30以上60未満である前記(A)成分と前記(B)成分とを、樹脂温度260℃以上400℃以下、減圧度0.02MPa以上0.1MPa以下及び平均滞留時間20秒以上100秒以下の条件下で溶融混練する工程を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のポリアミド樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 請求項6に記載の製造方法により得られる、ポリアミド樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1〜5,7のいずれか1項に記載のポリアミド樹脂組成物を含む、成形体。
