Abstract
【解決手段】排気ガスの流通順で最後の膨張室17に隣接してシェル12内に形成される吸音室23に吸音材24が充填され、アウトレットパイプ19の吸音室23に臨む部分に複数のパンチング孔25が設けられる。

Claims (3)
- シェル(12,32,52)内に、インレットパイプ(18,38)の下流端部が開口される膨張室(16,36)を含む複数の膨張室(16,36;17,37)が排気ガスを順次流通させるようにして形成され、複数の前記膨張室(16,36;17,37)のうち前記排気ガスの流通順で最後の膨張室(17,37)に上流端部を開口させるとともに下流端部を大気に開口させたアウトレットパイプ(19,39,47)が、略U字状の屈曲部(19b,19d;39b;47b,47d)を少なくとも1箇所に有するようにして前記シェル(12,32,52)内で屈曲して形成される排気消音器において、前記最後の膨張室(17,37)に隣接して前記シェル(12,32,52)内に形成される吸音室(23,43)に吸音材(24)が充填され、前記アウトレットパイプ(19,39,47)の前記吸音室(23,43)に臨む部分に複数のパンチング孔(25,45,48)が設けられることを特徴とする排気消音器。
- 前記シェル(12,32,52)内に、前記インレットパイプ(18,38)の下流端部が開口される第1の膨張室(16,36)と、前記最後の膨張室である第2の膨張室(17,37)と、第1および第2の膨張室(16,36;17,37)間に挟まれる前記吸音室(23,43)とが形成されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気消音器。
- 少なくとも1つの前記膨張室(17,36,37)に配置される前記屈曲部(19d,39b,47d)の下部に排水孔(26,46,49)が設けられることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の排気消音器。
