Claims (20)

- 前記バリアは、前記隔壁の近位端を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の隔壁。
- 前記バリアは、前記弛緩される位置から前記応力が加えられる位置へと機械的に変形されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の隔壁。
- 前記閉位置は、流体密封であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の隔壁。
- 前記隔壁は、弾性材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の隔壁。
- 前記隔壁は、弾性体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の隔壁。
- 前記バリアに結合される隔壁アクチュエータであって、前記隔壁と相まって単一の一体化された構成要素を形成する隔壁アクチュエータをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の隔壁。
- カテーテルアセンブリ内の流体の流れを制御するシステムであって、
内腔を含むカテーテルアダプタを有する静脈カテーテルアセンブリと、
前記内腔の一部内に配置され、弛緩される位置から応力が加えられる位置へと変形され得るバリア面を有する隔壁であって、前記バリアは、閉じた形態および開いた形態を有するスリットをさらに含む、隔壁と
を備え、前記スリットは、前記バリアが前記弛緩される位置にあるときに前記閉じた形態を構成し、前記バリアが前記応力が加えられる位置にあるときに前記開いた形態を構成することを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記隔壁に隣接して前記内腔の一部内に配置される隔壁アクチュエータであって、前記隔壁アクチュエータの遠位端が前記隔壁の近位面に接触し、前記隔壁アクチュエータの近位端が前記カテーテルアダプタの開口に隣接して配置される隔壁アクチュエータをさらに備え、前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記近位端は、外部デバイスを前記カテーテルアダプタの前記開口に挿入することによってアクセスされることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記隔壁アクチュエータを通る流体通路を形成する管腔をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記隔壁と前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内腔の内面との間に置かれる通気チャネルであって、所望の流量での空気および血液の少なくとも一方の通過を可能にするように選択される表面積と外周とを有する通気チャネルをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記隔壁の前記近位面は、前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記遠位端を収容するキャビティをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記隔壁アクチュエータは、前記内腔の前記部分内に摺動可能に収容され、近位位置と遠位位置の間を移動することができ、前記隔壁アクチュエータが前記近位位置にあるとき、前記隔壁は前記弛緩される位置にあり、前記隔壁アクチュエータが前記遠位位置にあるとき、前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記遠位端は前記隔壁を前記応力が加えられる位置へと付勢することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- カテーテルアセンブリ内の流体の流れを制御する機能を有するカテーテルアセンブリを製造する方法であって、
弛緩される位置から応力が加えられる位置へと変形され得るバリア面を有する隔壁を設けるステップであって、前記応力が加えられる位置は前記バリア面を付勢し前記隔壁を通る通路を形成する、ステップと、
内腔を含むカテーテルアダプタを有する静脈カテーテルアセンブリを設けるステップと、
前記隔壁を、前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内腔の一部内に配置するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 隔壁アクチュエータを前記隔壁に隣接して前記内腔の一部内に配置するステップであって、前記隔壁アクチュエータの遠位端が前記隔壁の近位面に接触し、前記隔壁アクチュエータの近位端が前記カテーテルアダプタの開口に隣接して配置される、ステップをさらに含み、前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記近位端は、外部デバイスを前記カテーテルアダプタの前記開口に挿入することによってアクセスされることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 隔壁アクチュエータを前記隔壁の前記バリア面に取り付けるステップをさらに含み、前記隔壁アクチュエータと前記隔壁が単一の一体化された構成要素を形成することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記遠位端を収容するキャビティを含むように、前記隔壁の近位面を変形するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記バリア面上に、閉じた形態および開いた形態を有するスリットを形成するステップをさらに含み、前記スリットは、前記バリアが前記弛緩される位置にあるときに前記閉じた形態を構成し、前記バリアが前記応力が加えられる位置にあるときに前記開いた形態を構成することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
