Abstract
【解決手段】流体噴射装置及びその方法を、本開示に開示する。方法は、流体噴射装置の噴射室と流体供給室との間に流体連通を形成し、噴射室が、ノズル及びノズルを通して流体を選択的に噴射するための噴射部材を含むようにすることを含む。この方法は、センサプレートを有するセンサユニットにより、流体の少なくとも1つのインピーダンスを検出することをさらに含む。

Description
この出願は、2011年7月27日に出願された「Fluid Level Sensor and Related Methods」と題するAndrew L. Van Brocklin他による特許出願第PCT/US2011/045585(代理人整理番号第700205641WO01号)に基づく優先権を主張するものであり、その全部が、参照により、本明細書に援用される。
流体噴射装置は、流体を格納するための流体供給室と、流体を対象物上に選択的に噴射するための複数の噴射室とを含む場合がある。流体噴射装置は、画像をインクの形で媒体上に印刷するためのインクジェットプリントヘッド装置を含む場合がある。
この出願は、2011年10月24日に出願されたPCT/US2011/057506の米国特許法(U.S.C 35)第371条に基づく国内段階の出願であり、参照により、その全体が本明細書に援用される。
Claims (15)
- 流体噴射装置であって、
流体を格納するための流体供給室と、
ノズル及び個々の前記ノズルを通して流体を選択的に噴射するための対応する噴射部材を含む複数の噴射室と、
前記流体供給室と前記噴射部材との間に流体連通を形成するための通路と、
当該流体噴射装置の前記流体の少なくとも1つの温度を決定するための温度調節モジュールと、
センサプレートを有するセンサユニットであって、前記少なくとも1つの温度に対応する前記流体の少なくとも1つのインピーダンスを検出するためのセンサユニットと
を含む流体噴射装置。 - 前記流体噴射装置の前記流体の前記少なくとも1つの温度を識別するための温度識別モジュールをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記センサユニットは、前記温度調節モジュールにより決定された第1の温度に対応する前記流体の第1のインピーダンス、及び前記温度調節モジュールにより決定された、前記第1の温度とは異なる第2の温度に対応する前記流体の第2のインピーダンスを選択的に検出する、請求項2に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記センサユニットは、所定の時間における前記少なくとも1つの温度に対応する前記流体の複数のインピーダンスを検出する、請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 所定の時間にわたって前記個々のノズルを非キャップ状態にするためのデキャッピングモジュールをさらに含み、
前記センサユニットは、前記ノズルが前記非キャップ状態にあるときの、前記流体の前記少なくとも1つのインピーダンスを検出する、請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。 - 前記センサユニットは、エアバブル検出マイクロ電気機械システム(ABD MEMS)圧力センサをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記センサユニットにマルチ周波数誘起信号を供給するための発生器ユニットをさらに含み、前記センサユニットは、前記マルチ周波数誘起信号を前記センサプレートから前記流体を通して接地部材へ伝送し、前記センサプレート上の電圧値の範囲及び電流値の範囲のうちの一方を取得する、請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記センサユニットは、前記マルチ周波数の個々の周波数と、前記電圧値の範囲及び前記電流値の範囲のうちの前記一方とに基づいて、電気化学インピーダンスを検出する、請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記マルチ周波数誘起信号は、正弦波形及びパルス波形のうちの少なくとも一方を含む、請求項7に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記センサプレートは、前記通路に配置される、請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記センサユニットは、圧力センサを含み、前記センサプレートは、前記噴射室のうちの1つに配置されるように構成される、請求項7に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 流体噴射装置において流体のインピーダンスを検出する方法であって、
前記流体噴射装置の通路を通して、噴射室と流体供給室との間に流体連通を形成し、前記噴射室が、ノズル及び前記ノズルを通して前記流体を選択的に噴射するための噴射部材を含むものとなるようにするステップと、
温度調節モジュールにより、前記流体噴射装置の少なくとも1つの温度を決定するステップと、
センサプレートを有するセンサユニットにより、前記少なくとも1つの温度における前記流体の少なくとも1つのインピーダンスを検出するステップと
を含む方法。 - 温度識別モジュールにより、前記流体噴射装置の前記少なくとも1つの温度を識別するステップをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの温度は、複数の温度を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記センサプレートを有するセンサユニットにより、前記少なくとも1つの温度における前記流体の少なくとも1つのインピーダンスを検出するステップは、
温度調節モジュールにより、流体を前記少なくとも1つの温度まで加熱するステップと、
発生器ユニットからマルチ周波数誘起信号を前記センサユニットに供給するステップと、
前記センサユニットにより、前記センサプレートから前記流体を通して接地部材へと前記マルチ周波数誘起信号を伝送し、前記センサプレート上の電圧値の範囲及び電流値の範囲のうちの一方を取得するステップと、
前記マルチ周波数誘起信号の個々の周波数と、前記電圧値の範囲及び前記電流値の範囲のうちの前記一方とに基づいて、電気化学インピーダンスを検出するステップと
をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
