Claims (17)

  1. 標的核酸を検出するための使い捨てプラットフォームであって、
    標的核酸を含むサンプルを収容するためのサンプルチャンバと、
    第1チャネルを介して前記サンプルチャンバに連結され、第2チャネルを介して第1ベントポケットに連結された増幅チャンバと、
    第3チャネルを介して前記増幅チャンバに連結され、第4チャネルを介して第2ベントポケットに連結された標識チャンバと、
    前記標識チャンバに第5チャネルを介して連結され、第6チャネルを介して第3ベントポケットに連結された検出サブシステムと、
    複数の抵抗加熱素子と、
    1個以上の温度測定デバイスと、を備え
    前記ベントポケットは、前記抵抗加熱素子のうち1個の付近に位置する非耐熱性メンブレンによって大気からそれぞれ密閉されている、使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  2. 前記サンプルチャンバの入口と直接流体連結した出口を備えるサンプル調製ステージをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  3. 前記増幅チャンバの実質的平面の寸法が前記増幅チャンバと熱的に接触している抵抗加熱素子の実質的平面の寸法とほぼ同じである、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  4. 前記増幅チャンバが能動的冷却デバイスによって冷却されない、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  5. 前記増幅チャンバが増幅溶液を含有し、前記サンプルチャンバが液体増幅試薬ミックスもしくは凍結乾燥増幅試薬ミックスを含み、および/または前記標識チャンバが検出粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  6. 前記標識チャンバが前記抵抗加熱素子の1個を使用して加熱可能である、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  7. 前記検出サブシステムが検出粒子を含まないラテラル・フロー・ストリップを含む、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  8. 前記チャンバ、前記チャネルおよび前記ベントポケットが流体アセンブリ層上に位置して、前記電子素子がプリント回路基板を含む別個の層上に位置し、前記別個の層が流体アセンブリ層に結合されている、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  9. 前記検出サブシステムが前記流体アセンブリ層上または第2流体アセンブリ層上に位置している、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  10. 少なくとも1個の前記チャンバの体積がおよそ1マイクロリットルからおよそ50マイクロリットルの間である、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  11. 前記使い捨てプラットフォームを、外部機器ではなく、使い捨てプラットフォームを垂直のまたは傾斜した向きで保持するベースユニットと連結するためのコネクタをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の使い捨てプラットフォーム。
  12. 標的核酸を検出するための方法であって、
    使い捨てプラットフォームのサンプルチャンバに標的核酸を含むサンプルを配置することと、
    使い捨てプラットフォームを垂直にまたは傾斜して向けることと、
    サンプルを液体または先に凍結乾燥させた増幅試薬ミックスと反応させることと、
    増幅チャンバに連結された第1ベントポケットを大気に開放することにより、反応したサンプルが増幅チャンバ中に流入できるようにすることと、
    増幅チャンバにて標的核酸を増幅することと、
    標識チャンバに連結された第2ベントポケットを大気に開放することにより、増幅した標的核酸が標識チャンバ中に流入できるようにすることと、
    標識チャンバにて検出粒子を使用して、増幅した標的核酸に標識することと、
    検出サブシステムに連結されている第3ベントポケットを大気に開放することにより、標識した標的核酸が検出サブシステム中に流入できるようにすることと、
    増幅した標的核酸を検出することと、から成る方法。
  13. 増幅ステップが、使い捨てプラットフォーム内で増幅チャンバ付近に位置する抵抗加熱素子を使用して、標的核酸を増幅することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
  14. 増幅チャンバを受動冷却することをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
  15. 標識ステップの間に、使い捨てプラットフォーム内の標識チャンバ付近に位置する抵抗加熱素子を使用して標識チャンバを加熱することをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
  16. 検出サブシステムが検出粒子を含んでいない、請求項12に記載の方法。
  17. 外部機器ではないドッキングステーションを使用することにより使い捨てプラットフォームの動作を制御することをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
