高温において酸化に対する抵抗が良好である
ハフニウム若しくはハフニウムの非酸化化合物である、又は、少なくとも2つの金属の及び/又はこの化合物の混合物である第1成分と、
ボロン若しくはボロンの非酸化化合物である、又は、ボロンとボロンの非酸化物との混合物である第2成分と、
レアアースRE(REはイットリウム(Y)、スカンジウム(Sc)、及びランタノイドを含むレアアースを意味する)若しくはレアアースREの非酸化化合物(すなわち、レアアースの炭化物、レアアースのホウ化物、又はレアアースの窒化物)である、又は、レアアースREとレアアースREの非酸化化合物との混合物である第3成分と、を少なくとも含み、
シリコン及びシリコン化合物のいずれも含んでいないことを特徴とする材料によって達成される。
その方法は、
ハフニウム若しくはハフニウムの非酸化化合物である、又は、少なくとも2つの金属及び/又はハフニウム及びハフニウムの非酸化化合物から選ばれる化合物の混合物である第1成分と、
ボロン若しくはボロンの非酸化化合物である、又は、ボロンとボロンの非酸化化合物との混合物である第2成分と、
レアアースRE若しくはレアアースREの非酸化化合物である、又は、レアアースREとレアアースREの非酸化化合物との混合物である第3成分を少なくとも備え、
シリコン又はシリコン化合物を含んでいない組成物を製造する工程と、
前記組成物を成形し、かつ、前記組成物の密度を高める工程と、
を備える。
その方法は、
ハフニウム若しくはハフニウムの非酸化化合物である、又は、少なくとも2つの金属及び/又はハフニウム及びハフニウムの非酸化化合物から選ばれる化合物の混合物である第1成分と、
ボロン若しくはボロンの非酸化化合物である、又は、ボロンとボロンの非酸化化合物との混合物である第2成分と、
レアアースRE若しくはレアアースREの非酸化化合物である、又は、レアアースREとレアアースREの非酸化化合物との混合物である第3成分とを少なくとも備え、
シリコン又はシリコン化合物を含んでいない組成物を部品に塗る工程と、
前記組成物を成形し、かつ、前記組成物の密度を高める工程と、
を備える。
本発明の耐熱材料の有効性を確かめるために、以下のサンプルを作製した。
上述のフラッシュ焼結によって作製された、本発明に係る、酸化環境において高温に耐える耐熱材料の固体ペレット。このサンプルは、直径が50mm、厚みが5mmのペレットであった(試験3〜5)。
以下の表並びに図1A及び図1Bの写真は、Hf+DyB4(2.7)材料(すなわち、Hf/Dyの原子比が2.7であるHfとDyB4との混合物)の保護コーティングを有するC/Cコンポジットのペレットを含むサンプルから得られた結果を示す。このサンプルは上述の条件で成形され、試験された。以下の表において、Tcn、Δm、Ec、及びEoはそれぞれ、露出面の黒体温度の値(a la valeur de la temperature corps noir d'exposition)、質量変化の方向、消費された材料の厚みの値、及びC/CコンポジットにおけるHf+DyB4材料の酸化層の厚みの値である。
以下の表並びに図2A及び図2Bは、HfC+DyB4(2.7)材料(すなわち、Hf/Dyの原子比が2.7であるHfとDyB4との混合物)の保護コーティングを有するC/Cコンポジットのペレットを含むサンプルから得られた結果を示す。サンプルは、上述の条件で成形され、試験された。以下の表において、Tcn、Δm、Ec、及びEoはそれぞれ、露出面の黒体温度の値(a la valeur de la temperature corps noir d'exposition)、質量変化の方向、消費された材料の厚みの値、及びC/CコンポジットにおけるHfC+DyB4材料の酸化層の厚みの値である。
以下の表及び図3は、Hf+GdB6(2.7)材料(すなわち、Hf/Gdの原子比が2.7であるHfとGdB6との混合物)のモノリシックなペレットで構成されているサンプルについて得られた結果を示している。このサンプルは、上述の条件で成形され、試験された。以下の表において、Tcn、Δm、Ec、及びEoはそれぞれ、露出面の黒体温度の値(a la valeur de la temperature corps noir d'exposition)、質量変化の方向、消費された材料の厚みの値、及びHf+GdB6材料の酸化層の厚みの値である。
以下の表及び図4は、HfC+GdB6(2.7)材料のモノリシックで構成されているサンプルについて得られた結果を示している。このサンプルは、上述の条件で成形され、試験された。以下の表において、Tcn、Δm、Ec、及びEoはそれぞれ、露出面の黒体温度の値(a la valeur de la temperature corps noir d'exposition)、質量変化の方向、消費された材料の厚みの値、及びHfC+GdB6材料の酸化層の厚みの値である。
以下の表及び図5は、ZrC+GdB6(2.7)材料のモノリシックなペレットで構成されているサンプルについて得られた結果を示している。このサンプルは、上述の条件で成形され、試験された。以下の表において、Tcn、Δm、Ec、及びEoはそれぞれ、露出面の黒体温度の値(a la valeur de la temperature corps noir d'exposition)、質量変化の方向、消費された材料の厚みの値、及びZrC+GdB6材料の酸化層の厚みの値である。
融点が約3200℃;
比重が小さい(6.09及び10.5);
硬度が高い;
電気伝導度及び熱伝導度が高い;
熱衝撃に対する抵抗が大きい;
高温において酸化に対する抵抗が良好である
Claims (17)
- 酸化環境において高温に耐えることができる耐熱材料であって、
ハフニウム若しくはハフニウムの非酸化化合物である、又は、少なくとも2つの金属及び/又はハフニウム及びハフニウムの非酸化化合物から選ばれる化合物の混合物である第1成分と、
ボロン若しくはボロンの非酸化化合物である、又は、ボロンとボロンの非酸化化合物との混合物である第2成分と、
レアアースRE若しくはレアアースREの非酸化化合物である、又は、レアアースREとレアアースREの非酸化化合物との混合物である第3成分であって、REは、スカンジウム、イットリム、及びランタノイドから選ばれる、第3成分と、を少なくとも含み、
シリコン及びシリコン化合物のいずれも含んでいないことを特徴とする耐熱材料。 - 前記第3成分のホウ化物を含み、かつ、少なくとも金属ハフニウム、ハフニウムの炭化物、ハフニウムの窒化物、又はハフニウムのホウ化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記レアアースREの窒化物を含み、少なくとも一つのハフニウムのホウ化物及び少なくとも一つのハフニウムの非酸化化合物をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料。
- ハフニウム及びレアアースREのホウ化物、又は、ハフニウムの炭化物及びレアアースREのホウ化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の材料。
- ハフニウム及びレアアースのホウ化物DyB4(Dyはレアアースであるジスプロシウム)、又は、ハフニウムの炭化物及びレアアースのホウ化物DyB4(Dyはレアアースであるジスプロシウム)を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の材料。
- タンタル若しくはタンタルの非酸化化合物、ニオブ若しくはニオブの非酸化化合物、又はジルコニウム若しくはジルコニウムの非酸化化合物を少なくともさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の材料。
- 酸化環境において高温に耐える耐熱部品であって、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の耐熱材料によって構成されていることを特徴とする耐熱部品。
- 少なくとも一部が炭素によって構成され、酸化環境における高温に対する保護コーティングを有する複合材料部品であって、前記保護コーティングは少なくとも請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の耐熱材料の少なくとも一つによって構成されていることを特徴とする複合材料部品。
- 熱構造複合材料製で、少なくともその内側表面に前記保護コーティングを有するロケットエンジンのコンポーネントを構成している請求項8に記載の部品。
- 酸化環境において高温に耐えることができる耐熱材料から部品を製造する方法であって、
ハフニウム若しくはハフニウムの非酸化化合物である、又は、少なくとも2つの金属及び/又はハフニウム及びハフニウムの非酸化化合物から選ばれる化合物の混合物である第1成分と、
ボロン若しくはボロンの非酸化化合物である、又は、ボロンとボロンの非酸化化合物との混合物である第2成分と、
レアアースRE若しくはレアアースREの非酸化化合物である、又は、レアアースREとレアアースREの非酸化化合物との混合物である第3成分であって、REは、スカンジウム、イットリム、及びランタノイドから選ばれる、第3成分と、を少なくとも備え、シリコン又はシリコン化合物を含んでいない組成物を製造する工程と、
前記組成物を成形し、かつ、前記組成物の密度を高める工程と、
を備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 酸化環境において高温に耐えることができる保護層を製造する方法であって、
前記保護層は、少なくとも一部が炭素によって構成された複合材料部品上に形成され、
ハフニウム若しくはハフニウムの非酸化化合物である、又は、少なくとも2つの金属及び/又はハフニウム及びハフニウムの非酸化化合物から選ばれる化合物の混合物である第1成分と、
ボロン若しくはボロンの非酸化化合物である、又は、ボロンとボロンの非酸化化合物との混合物である第2成分と、
レアアースRE若しくはレアアースREの非酸化化合物である、又は、レアアースREとレアアースREの非酸化化合物との混合物である第3成分であって、REは、スカンジウム、イットリム、及びランタノイドから選ばれる、第3成分と、を少なくとも備え、シリコン又はシリコン化合物を含んでいない組成物を部品に塗る工程と、
前記組成物を成形し、かつ、前記組成物の密度を高める工程と、
を備える方法。 - 前記組成物は、前記第3成分のホウ化物を含み、かつ、少なくとも金属ハフニウム、ハフニウムの炭化物、ハフニウムの窒化物、又はハフニウムのホウ化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項10又は11に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物は、前記レアアースREの窒化物を含み、前記材料は少なくとも一つのハフニウムのホウ化物及び少なくとも一つのハフニウムの非酸化化合物をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項10又は11に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物は、ハフニウム及びレアアースREのホウ化物、又は、ハフニウムの炭化物及びレアアースREのホウ化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項10又は11に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物は、ハフニウム及びレアアースのホウ化物DyB4(Dyはレアアースであるジスプロシウム)、又は、ハフニウムの炭化物及びレアアースのホウ化物DyB4(Dyはレアアースであるジスプロシウム)を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物は、タンタル若しくはタンタルの非酸化化合物、ニオブ若しくはニオブの非酸化化合物、又はジルコニウム若しくはジルコニウムの非酸化化合物を少なくともさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項10〜15のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物はフラッシュ焼結によって密度が高められていることを特徴とする請求項10〜16のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
