Abstract
【解決手段】実験動物の“鼻限定”投与装置は動物収容チャンバー36に開口するメインチャンバー32とサイドチャンバー34とを含む投与チャンバー30からなる。動物収容チャンバー36は、実験動物38をヒトの力で拘束し、実質的に呼吸マスクとして作用するチャンバー42に動物の口と鼻が位置するような大きさのものとする。薬剤は開口部44を経てメインチャンバー32に導入され、メインチャンバー32の下端で粉末薬の雲状物としてチャンバー42を介して動物に搬送される。雲状物は乾燥粉末エーロゾル発生器46にて創出した乾燥粉末エーロゾル化医薬品を掃引することにより創出され、加圧搬送気流により加圧空気源48から搬送される。

Claims (10)
- 乾燥粉末医薬品を動物に送達する装置であって、
エーロゾル化医薬品を導入し得るエーロゾルチャンバーを規定する収容箱;
当該チャンバーの出口;
少なくとも一部、該出口を囲むマスク;および
医薬品をエーロゾル化し、該医薬品を該チャンバーに導入するためのネブライザー;
を含んでなる装置。 - 以下の1つ以上の特徴、すなわち:
(a)さらに該ネブライザーを制御するマイクロプロセッサーを含むこと;
(b)さらに該ネブライザーを制御するタイマーを含むこと;
(c)さらに該チャンバーに接続する気流装置を制御する電気制御装置を含むこと;および
(d)該投与送達量を該ネブライザーの一定時間にまたは断続的に作動する回数により決定すること;
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。 - さらに装置と投与の状況を表示する装置のオペレーターへの視覚、聴覚もしくは触覚によるフィードバックを含んでなる請求項1に記載の装置。
- 該マスクがマウスピースまたは鼻腔カニューレである請求項1に記載の装置。
- 該動物の吸入および/または呼気のサイクルを、好ましくは、フローセンサー、圧力センサー、温度センサー、ガスセンサーおよび胸部ストラップからなる群より選択されるセンサーを使用して感知し、該動物のチェーン・ストークス型呼吸と同時に作動する該ネブライザーのスイッチが開閉されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 顔面マスクまたは鼻腔カニューレにチューブを介して繋がる医薬品ネブライザーおよび該ネブライザーを制御する制御装置を含んでなる実験動物医薬品試験装置。
- 該ネブライザーが好ましくはピエゾバイブレーターを含む振動式乾燥粉末吸入器からなる、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 以下の1つ以上の特徴、すなわち:
(a)さらに該ネブライザーを制御するマイクロプロセッサーを含むこと;
(b)その場合の制御装置がマイクロプロセッサーを含むこと;
(c)さらに該ネブライザーに接続する気流装置を制御する電気制御装置を含むこと;および
(d)該投与送達量を該ネブライザーの一定時間にまたは断続的に作動する回数により決定すること;
を特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。 - さらに装置と投与の状況を表示する装置のオペレーターへの視覚、聴覚もしくは触覚によるフィードバックを含んでなる請求項6に記載の装置。
