Abstract

Description

電解コンデンサ80は、通常温度であっても、長期間の使用により劣化が進んで、その内部抵抗が次第に大きくなることが知られている。そして、温度が低い低温環境下で使用される場合には、通常温度における内部抵抗に加えてさらに温度が低くなった分だけ内部抵抗が上昇するため、従来は、図5の特性線L10で示すように、電解コンデンサの劣化度が最大となった場合に基づいた暖機制御を行っていた。しかしこのような制御では、電解コンデンサの劣化が進んでいない場合であっても暖機制御に長時間を要することになる。
図3に示すように、マイコン41はキースイッチがオン操作されると、ステップ100でコンデンサ温度センサ90による電解コンデンサ80の温度を取り込んでステップ101で−20℃以下か否か判定する。電解コンデンサ80の温度が−20℃よりも高いと、マイコン41はステップ102に移行して通常制御を行う。
このように、電解コンデンサ80の温度が極めて低かった場合(例えば、−40℃程度場合)には、インバータ10により電動機60に対し直流電流が供給され、電解コンデンサ80の温度を上昇させる。そして、電解コンデンサ80の温度が規定値(例えば、−20℃)、即ち、起動可能温度になると、通常運転制御が行われる。即ち、インバータ10により電動機60に対し交流電流が供給される。
図4において横軸に電解コンデンサ80の温度をとり、縦軸に最大電流値をとっている。
(1)インバータの暖機制御装置の構成として、コンデンサ温度センサ90と、劣化度判定手段および暖機制御手段としてのマイコン41を備える。マイコン41はコンデンサの劣化度を判定し、コンデンサ温度センサ90により検出された電解コンデンサ80の温度が規定温度よりも低い時において、マイコン41は、コンデンサの劣化度およびコンデンサの温度に基づいて設定される直流電流を電動機60の巻線に供給するようにインバータ回路20のスイッチング素子S1〜S6を制御する。これにより、低温時において電解コンデンサ80の暖機を速やかに終了することができる。
実施形態は前記に限定されるものではなく、例えば、次のように具体化してもよい。
Claims (3)
- ブリッジ接続された複数のスイッチング素子を有するインバータ回路の入力側に並列接続された直流電源およびコンデンサを備えるとともに出力側に電動機の巻線が接続されたインバータの暖機制御装置であって、
前記コンデンサの温度を検出する温度検出手段と、
前記コンデンサの劣化度を判定する劣化度判定手段と、
前記温度検出手段により検出された前記コンデンサの温度が規定温度よりも低い時において、前記コンデンサの劣化度および前記コンデンサの温度に基づいて設定される直流電流を前記電動機の巻線に供給するように前記インバータ回路の前記スイッチング素子を制御する暖機制御手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とするインバータの暖機制御装置。 - 前記劣化度判定手段は、前記コンデンサが前記直流電源に接続された時間の総和である接続時間と、前記インバータが駆動された時間の総和である駆動時間に基づいて、前記コンデンサの劣化度を判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインバータの暖機制御装置。
- 前記直流電流は、前記コンデンサの温度が低くなるほど低い電流値に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のインバータの暖機制御装置。
