【解決手段】第1の端面3aから第2の端面3bまで貫通する複数の貫通孔5によって形成された複数の内壁面7を有する基材3と、複数の内壁面7にそれぞれ形成された複数の触媒層9と、を備え、各貫通孔5が中心軸5Xを有し、各触媒層9が、第1の端面3aから内方に所定距離延在した第1の領域9Aと、第2の端面3bから内方に所定距離延在した第2の領域9Bと、第1の領域9Aおよび第2の領域9Bの間に位置する第3の領域9Cと、に区分され、触媒層9の第1の領域9Aで貫通孔5の中心軸5Xから触媒層9の内表面9mまでの距離h1が、触媒層9の第3の領域9Cで貫通孔5の中心軸5Xから触媒層9の内表面9mまでの距離h3よりも小さく、触媒層9の第2の領域9Bで貫通孔5の中心軸5Xから触媒層9の内表面9mまでの距離h2よりも大きくなるよう触媒層9を形成する。

Claims (3)
- 第1の端面および第2の端面と、前記第1の端面から前記第2の端面まで貫通する複数の貫通孔によって形成された複数の内壁面と、を有する基材と、
前記複数の内壁面にそれぞれ形成された複数の触媒層と、
を備え、
前記各貫通孔が中心軸を有し、
前記各触媒層が、前記第1の端面から内方に所定距離延在した第1の領域と、前記第2の端面から内方に所定距離延在した第2の領域と、前記第1の領域および前記第2の領域の間に位置する第3の領域と、に区分され、
前記触媒層の第1の領域で前記貫通孔の中心軸から前記触媒層の内表面までの距離が、前記触媒層の第3の領域で前記貫通孔の中心軸から前記触媒層の内表面までの距離より小さく、前記触媒層の第2の領域で前記貫通孔の中心軸から前記触媒層の内表面までの距離よりも大きくなるよう前記触媒層を形成したことを特徴とする排ガス浄化用触媒。 - 前記第1の端面側を排ガス流入側とし、前記第2の端面側を排ガス流出側としたとき、前記触媒層の第3の領域が、前記第2の端面側よりも前記第1の端面側に近接していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記第1の端面側を排ガス流入側とし、前記第2の端面側を排ガス流出側としたとき、前記触媒層の第3の領域が、前記第1の端面側よりも前記第2の端面側に近接していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
