"CATALISADORES MONOLìTICOS E PROCESSO AFIM PARA A FABRICAçãO". A presente invenção refere-se a um substrato, tal como um favo tendo uma pluralidade de canais paralelos definidos pelas paredes do favo. O favo possui zonas diferentes ao longo do comprimento dos canais. As zonas são definidas por seu revestimento (ou falta de revestimento) e estendem-se por um comprimento do canal no qual existe o mesmo revestimento e arquitetura. Os componentes solúveis nas composições de revestimento são fixados em suas respectivas zonas.
