Abstract
【解決手段】正極層、負極層、並びに正極層及び負極層の間に配置された電解質層を含む金属空気電池であって、正極層が、導電材、バインダー、及びSiO2粒子からなる。上記SiO2粒子が16.7m2/g以下の比表面積を有し、無孔質であり、正極層の全体質量に対して10〜30wt%含まれている。また、前記導電材の含有量に対する上記SiO2の比率を0.17〜0.75とする。

Description
正極層が、導電材、バインダー、及びSiO2粒子を含み、
SiO2粒子が16.7m2/g以下の比表面積を有する、
金属空気電池である。
Cl-、Br-、I-などのハロゲン化物アニオン;BF4 -、B(CN)4 -、B(C2O4)2 -等のホウ素化物アニオン;(CN)2N-、[N(CF3)2]-、[N(SO2CF3)2]-等のアミドアニオン又はイミドアニオン;RSO3 -(以下、Rは脂肪族炭化水素基又は芳香族炭化水素基を指す)、RSO4 -、RfSO3 -(以下、Rfは含フッ素ハロゲン化炭化水素基を指す)、RfSO4 -等のスルフェートアニオン又はスルフォネートアニオン;Rf 2P(O)O-、PF6 -、Rf 3PF3 -等の含リンアニオン;SbF6等の含アンチモンアニオン;またはラクテート、硝酸イオン、トリフルオロアセテート、トリス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)メチド等のアニオン、
とからなる塩を用いることができ、
例えばLiPF6、LiBF4、リチウムビス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)アミド(LiN(CF3SO2)2、以下、LiTFSAという)、LiCF3SO3、LiC4F9SO3、LiC(CF3SO2)3及びLiClO4等が挙げられ、LiTFSAが好ましく用いられる。このような支持塩を2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。また、液体電解質に対する支持塩の添加量は特に限定されないが、0.1〜1mol/kg程度とすることが好ましい。
(実施例1)
質量比で40wt%のケッチェンブラック(KB)(ECP−600JD、LION製)、30wt%のポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)バインダー(F−104、ダイキン製)、図1に示す比表面積5.1m2/gを有する無孔質のSiO2粒子(SO−C6、アドマテックス製)を30wt%、及び溶媒として適量のエタノールを混合して、混合物を得た。得られた混合物をロールプレスにて圧延し、乾燥及び切断し、直径18mmφ、厚み130μmの正極層を得た。SiO2/KBの質量比は0.75であった。
SiO2粒子として、図2に示す比表面積11.5m2/gを有する無孔質のSiO2粒子(SO−C2、アドマテックス製)を用いて正極を作製したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして評価用セルを作製し、酸素雰囲気に置換したガラスデシケーターに入れた。
SiO2粒子として、図3に示す比表面積16.7m2/gを有する無孔質のSiO2粒子(SO−C1、アドマテックス製)を用いて正極を作製したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして評価用セルを作製し、酸素雰囲気に置換したガラスデシケーターに入れた。
質量比で50wt%のケッチェンブラック(KB)、30wt%のポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)バインダー、図1に示す比表面積5.1m2/gを有する無孔質のSiO2粒子(SO−C6、アドマテックス製)を20wt%、及び溶媒として適量のエタノールを混合して、混合物を得て、得られた混合物をロールプレスにて圧延し、乾燥及び切断し、直径18mmφ、厚み130μmの正極層を作製したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして評価用セルを作製し、酸素雰囲気に置換したガラスデシケーターに入れた。SiO2/KBの質量比は0.40であった。
質量比で60wt%のケッチェンブラック(KB)、30wt%のポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)バインダー、図1に示す比表面積5.1m2/gを有する無孔質のSiO2粒子(SO−C6、アドマテックス製)を10wt%、及び溶媒として適量のエタノールを混合して、混合物を得て、得られた混合物をロールプレスにて圧延し、乾燥及び切断し、直径18mmφ、厚み130μmの正極層を作製したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして評価用セルを作製し、酸素雰囲気に置換したガラスデシケーターに入れた。SiO2/KBの質量比は0.17であった。
SiO2粒子として、図4に示す比表面積620m2/gを有する多孔質のSiO2粒子を用いて正極を作製したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして評価用セルを作製し、酸素雰囲気に置換したガラスデシケーターに入れた。
SiO2粒子を用いずに、質量比で70wt%のケッチェンブラック(KB)、30wt%のポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)バインダー、及び溶媒として適量のエタノールを混合して、混合物を得て、得られた混合物をロールプレスにて圧延し、乾燥及び切断し、直径18mmφ、厚み130μmの正極層を作製したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして評価用セルを作製し、酸素雰囲気に置換したガラスデシケーターに入れた。
実施例1〜5及び比較例1〜2で作製したガラスデシケーターに入れた評価用セルを、試験開始前に60℃の恒温槽にて3時間静置した。次いで、マルチチャンネルポテンショスタット/ガルバノスタットVMP3(Bio−Logic社製)充放電I−V測定装置を用いて、60℃、純酸素、1気圧の条件下で、電流印加時間/レスト時間=15分/0.1秒で電流密度を上げながらI-V特性を測定した。また、カット電圧2.5Vのときの電流密度を測定して、比較した。電流密度は、正極の単位面積基準の電流値である。

Claims (10)
- 正極層、負極層、並びに前記正極層及び負極層の間に配置された電解質層を含む金属空気電池であって、
前記正極層が、導電材、バインダー、及びSiO2粒子を含み、
前記SiO2粒子が16.7m2/g以下の比表面積を有する、
金属空気電池。 - 前記SiO2粒子が無孔質である、請求項1に記載の金属空気電池。
- 前記正極層が、前記正極層の全体質量を基準として、10〜30wt%の前記SiO2粒子を含む、請求項1または2に記載の金属空気電池。
- (前記SiO2粒子の含有量)/(前記導電材の含有量)の比率が0.17〜0.75である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の金属空気電池。
- 前記負極層がリチウムを含有する材料を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の金属空気電池。
- 前記電解質層がセパレータを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の金属空気電池。
- 前記電解質層がイオン液体を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の金属空気電池。
- 前記イオン液体が、N,N−ジエチル−N−メチル−N−(2−メトキシエチル)アンモニウムビス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)アミド(DEMETFSA)、N−メチル−N−プロピルピペリジニウムビス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)アミド(PP13TFSA)、またはそれらの組み合わせである、請求項7に記載の金属空気電池。
- 前記電解質層がリチウム含有金属塩を含む、請求項7または8に記載の金属空気電池。
- 前記リチウム含有金属塩がリチウムビス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)アミド(LiTFSA)である、請求項9に記載の金属空気電池。
