Abstract
【解決手段】リヨセル系炭素繊維は、リヨセル繊維を炭化させて製造した炭素繊維であって、前記リヨセル系炭素繊維をバインダー樹脂と結合させて繊維棒形態で製造したものが好ましい。繊維棒形態のリヨセル系炭素繊維を含む炭素複合材料は、炭素複合材料にかかる機械的荷重をリヨセル系炭素繊維が直に支持できるため、炭素複合材料にかかる機械的荷重がリヨセル系炭素繊維に非常に効果的に伝達され、炭素複合材料の強度とモジュラス(modulus)が炭素繊維織物または炭素繊維をそのまま用いた場合より顕著に向上できる。

Description
リヨセル繊維をレピア織機を用いて綾織物構造に製織した後、純度99.8%のアセトンに約2時間浸漬させて洗浄した。洗浄された織物を、25℃でパークロロエチレンに溶解したシリコーン系高分子であるRTVシリコーン5重量%の溶液に約30分間浸漬した後、難燃性塩の塩化アンモニウム15重量%の水溶液に約30分間浸漬し、次いで、80℃の温度で乾燥させた。
前記実施例1において、前記リヨセル系炭素繊維の代わりにポリアクリロニトリル系炭素繊維を用いたことを除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で炭素複合材料を製造した。
前記実施例1において、前記リヨセル系炭素繊維の代わりに炭化させていないリヨセル繊維を用いたことを除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で炭素複合材料を製造した。
前記実施例1の炭素複合材料および前記比較例1の炭素複合材料の物性をテストし、その結果を下記表1に示した。
前記実施例1の炭素複合材料および前記比較例2の炭素複合材料の物性をテストし、その結果を下記表2に示した。
Claims (12)
- リヨセル系炭素繊維および炭素基地材を含むことを特徴とする炭素複合材料。
- 前記リヨセル系炭素繊維は、炭化したリヨセル繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記リヨセル系炭素繊維は、前記炭素基地材によって取り囲まれていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記リヨセル系炭素繊維は、リヨセル繊維を100〜2800℃の温度範囲で熱処理して製造されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記リヨセル系炭素繊維は、フィラメント糸で構成された長繊維構造または短繊維を縒り合わせた紡績糸構造であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記リヨセル系炭素繊維は、織布、不織布、編織布、多軸縦編み布、一方向配列布、ウェブまたはチョップトファイバー形態を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記リヨセル系炭素繊維は、バインダー樹脂を含む繊維棒形態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記バインダー樹脂は、ポリビニルアルコール樹脂、エポキシ樹脂またはフェノール樹脂であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記炭素複合材料は、樹脂含浸炭化法、化学気相浸透法またはピッチ含浸炭化法により、前記リヨセル系炭素繊維および前記炭素基地材を結合して製造することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記樹脂含浸炭化法は、フェノール樹脂、フラン樹脂またはポリアリールアセチレン樹脂を用いたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記化学気相浸透法は、1分子内に炭素数が1〜7の炭化水素を用いたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の炭素複合材料。
- 前記ピッチ含浸炭化法は、石炭系ピッチまたは石油系ピッチを用いたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の炭素複合材料。
