Abstract

Claims (10)
- エアロゾル化システムであって、
カプセルを受け入れるように適合化されたチャンバを有するハウジングを備えるエアロゾル化デバイスと、
前記ハウジング内に存在しかつ穿刺部材を備える穿刺メカニズムであって、前記穿刺部材は、カプセル内に開口を生成するためにカプセルの壁を切断する際に有効な切断エッジを形成するように成形された前端と研磨された又は切断された後端を備える穿刺メカニズムと、
吸入用薬物製剤を包含するカプセルであって、前記カプセルは約100ミクロンから約240ミクロンまでの範囲内のほぼ均一な厚さを含む壁を備えるカプセルと、を備え、
前記カプセルの壁厚は、穿刺場所では約10ミクロンを超えて変化せず、
これにより、前記カプセル内への開口は前記カプセルに穿刺力を加えることによって生成されてもよく、前記開口は、前記カプセルの内容物のほぼ全てがエアロゾル化エネルギーが加えられた時点で放出されるような十分な品質であるエアロゾル化システム。 - 前記カプセルは約110ミクロンから180ミクロンまでの範囲内の壁厚を含む、請求項1記載のエアロゾル化システム。
- 前記カプセルは約120ミクロンから160ミクロンまでの範囲内の壁厚と、約10ミクロンの壁の均一性とを含む、請求項1記載のエアロゾル化システム。
- 前記穿刺原位置は前記カプセルの半球部分を含む、請求項1記載のエアロゾル化システム。
- 前記カプセルは、ゼラチン、ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース、ポリエチレングリコール配合ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロースおよび寒天のうちの1つまたはそれ以上を含む壁を備える、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記薬物製剤は、約20μm未満の質量中央径を有する粒子を含む、請求項5記載のシステム。

- エアロゾル化可能製剤のためのカプセルであって、
ゼラチン、ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース、ポリエチレングリコール配合ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロースおよび寒天のうちの1つまたはそれ以上を含むカプセルを備え、カプセルの壁厚は、穿刺原位置の付近で約110ミクロンから180ミクロンまでの範囲内であり、前記カプセルの壁厚は、穿刺場所では約10ミクロンを超えて変化せず、
