オリゴマーの質量パーセンテージは、フラスコ中に所望の試料5グラムを秤量し、それを50ミリリットル(ml)のメタノール中に激しい撹拌下で1時間溶解し、ろ紙を通して不溶性生成物をろ過し、ろ紙に保持された固体を別の50mlのメタノールで洗浄し、不溶性生成物をオーブン中100℃未満の温度で15分間乾燥させ、最後に収集した乾燥固体を秤量することによって測定した。
試料は、市販のポリカーボネート反応器システムでスクラバーの底部から得て、試料の全質量に基づいて21質量パーセントの初期のオリゴマー含有量を有した。この試料を他になにも加えることなく、溶融反応器中に導入した。この試料を、稼動の期間中に市販のシステムから得たが、ここで、スクラバーの底部で結晶性オリゴマーの形成があり、分離システムの稼動は、維持できなかった。ジフェニルカーボネート(DPC)、ヒドロキノン(HQ)及びビスフェノールA(BPA)が、重合触媒としての水酸化テトラメチルアンモニウム及びNaOHとともに出発材料として市販のポリカーボネート反応器中で用いたモノマーであった。
実験室溶融反応器を、酸洗浄、すすぎ洗い及び窒素ガスによる乾燥によって不動態化し、それに、ヒドロキノン(HQ)、ビスフェノールA(BPA)、及びジフェニルカーボネート(DPC)のモノマーの混合物を投入した。ジヒドロキシ化合物のモル比は、HQ/BPA 80/20であった。ジアリールカーボネート対ジヒドロキシ化合物(DPC/(HQ+BPA))のモル比は、2であった(この試料中にオリゴマーは、初期にまったく存在しなかった)。この混合物にある量の触媒(10ppm酢酸テトラブチルホスホニウム(TBPA))を加え、次いで、この混合物を165mbar真空下180℃に1時間加熱した。試料のオリゴマー含有量は12%に増加した。
第1重合反応器を出て、分離装置に送られるオーバーヘッドの量を、重合プロセスに影響を与えることなく、低下させるために、連続溶融重合システムにおける第1重合反応器の条件を選択し(200℃及び330mbar)、以下の重合反応器において同じ分子量を形成した。同時に、固定量の成分ジフェニルカーボネート(重合プロセスに加えた全ジフェニルカーボネートの3.6%)を、第1重合反応器から分離装置への蒸気副生成物流に連続的に加えた。それに加えて、NH4H2PO4水溶液の連続流を分離装置の中間部に加えた(第1重合反応器に返送される分離装置の底部の流れに基づいて1.5ppmのNH4H2PO4をもたらした)。定常状態のときに、試料を分離装置の底部から採取し、オリゴマー含有量の質量パーセントを測定し、分離装置に関してなんらの稼動上の問題もなく12日間連続的に実行した(実施例3)。
Claims (15)
- 溶融重合反応において、芳香族ジヒドロキシ化合物及びジアリールカーボネートを重合触媒の存在下で重合させ、芳香族ジヒドロキシ化合物、ジアリールカーボネート及びジアリールカーボネート副生成物を含む副生成物蒸気流を生成する工程、低蒸気圧化合物を副生成物蒸気流に加えて、変性副生成物蒸気流を生成する工程、変性副生成物蒸気流を分離装置に導入する工程、並びに分離装置において変性副生成物蒸気流から揮発性ジアリールカーボネート副生成物を除去して、処理済副生成物流を形成し、処理済副生成物流を溶融重合反応に戻す工程を含む、ポリカーボネートを生産する方法。
- 溶融重合反応において、芳香族ジヒドロキシ化合物及びジアリールカーボネートを重合触媒の存在下で重合させ、芳香族ジヒドロキシ化合物、ジアリールカーボネート及びジアリールカーボネート副生成物を含む副生成物蒸気流を生成する工程、低蒸気圧化合物を分離装置に加える工程、副生成物蒸気流を分離装置に導入する工程、並びに分離装置において副生成物蒸気流から揮発性ジアリールカーボネート副生成物を除去して、処理済副生成物流を形成し、処理済副生成物流を溶融重合反応に戻す工程を含む、ポリカーボネートを生産する方法。
- 溶融重合反応において、芳香族ジヒドロキシ化合物及びジアリールカーボネートを重合触媒の存在下で重合させ、芳香族ジヒドロキシ化合物、ジアリールカーボネート及びジアリールカーボネート副生成物を含む副生成物蒸気流を生成する工程、低蒸気圧化合物を分離装置に加える工程、副生成物蒸気流を分離装置に導入する工程、並びに分離装置において副生成物蒸気流から揮発性ジアリールカーボネート副生成物を除去して、処理済副生成物流を形成し、処理済副生成物流を溶融重合反応に戻す工程を含む、ポリカーボネートを生産する方法。
- 前記芳香族ジヒドロキシ化合物が、ヒドロキノン及びビスフェノールAを含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ジアリールカーボネートが、ジフェニルカーボネートである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記副生成物蒸気流が、ヒドロキノン、ビスフェノールA、ジフェニルカーボネート、及びフェノールを含む、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
