Abstract
Description
本願は、2010年9月10日出願の米国仮特許出願No.61/381,642の利益を主張するものであり、同出願の内容を参考文献として本明細書に組み込むものとする。
本発明は、断熱性が改善された接着剤組成物に関する。特に本発明は、段ボール製品などの紙製品に断熱性を付与するために用いられる接着剤組成物とその接着剤組成物の製造方法を含む。

Claims (20)
- 以下の成分:
a.でんぷん成分;
b.アルカリ性成分;
c.四ホウ酸ナトリウム;
d.水;および
e.複数の膨張性マイクロスフェア;
を含有する断熱性が改善された接着剤組成物であって、
該でんぷん成分が、上記膨張性マイクロスフェアが膨張する温度以上の温度で、該でんぷん成分の完全糊化が可能なように選ばれている接着剤組成物。 - 上記でんぷん成分が高アミロース濃度のでんぷん組成物を含む請求項1の接着剤組成物。
- 上記でんぷん成分が以下の成分を含む請求項1の接着剤組成物:
a.未変性でんぷん組成物;および
b.高アミロース濃度のでんぷん組成物。 - 上記接着剤組成物が、上記未変性でんぷん組成物を上記接着剤組成物の約20重量%の量で含み、上記高アミロース濃度のでんぷん組成物を上記接着剤組成物の約4重量%の量で含む請求項3の接着剤組成物。
- 上記アルカリ性成分が水酸化ナトリウムを含む請求項1の接着剤組成物。
- 上記膨張性マイクロスフェアが、加熱及び/又は放射線の存在下で膨張して断熱発泡体を形成する高分子マイクロスフェアを含む請求項1の接着剤組成物。
- 上記膨張性マイクロスフェアが約180°F〜約210°Fの温度で膨張し始める請求項6の接着剤組成物。
- 上記膨張性マイクロスフェアが、約250°F〜約280°Fの温度で最大の膨張レベルをもつ請求項6の接着剤組成物。
- 上記複数の膨張性マイクロスフェアが、上記接着剤組成物の約0.5%〜約5重量%の量で存在する請求項1の接着剤組成物。
- 以下の工程を含む断熱性が改善された段ボール製品の製造方法:
a.実質的に平面状で第一の面と第二の面をもつ第一の紙ライナーを与える工程;
b.複数のフルートをもち、各フルートが1つの頂部と1つの谷部を有する第二の紙ライナーを与える工程;
c.以下の工程を含む断熱性が改善された接着剤組成物の製造工程:
i.高アミロースでんぷん成分、アルカリ性成分、架橋剤および水を混合してでんぷん混合物を形成する工程;
ii.上記高アミロースでんぷん混合物を加熱して加熱でんぷん混合物を形成する工程;、
iii.上記加熱でんぷん混合物に未変性でんぷん成分を加える工程;および
iv.上記加熱でんぷん混合物に複数の膨張性マイクロスフェアを加える工程:
d.上記フルートのそれぞれの頂部に上記接着剤組成物を塗布する工程;
e.上記フルートの頂部を上記平面状の紙ライナーの第一の面の表面に合わせて、第一の紙ライナーと第二の紙ライナーが上記フルートの上記頂部で互いに接触した複合構造物を形成する工程;および
f.上記複合構造物の上記接着剤組成物を第一の温度と第二の温度に加熱して硬化させる工程であって、上記第一の温度と上記第二の温度が約20°F〜約40°F異なる工程。 - 上記フルートの先端を上記実質的に平坦な紙ライナーの第一の面におく上記工程が、圧力を用いて上記先端を上記第一の面に固定することを含む請求項10の方法。
- 上記第一の温度が約138°F〜約156°Fである請求項10の方法。
- 上記第二の温度が約180°F〜約210°Fである請求項10の方法。
- 以下の工程を含む断熱シートの製造方法:
a.第一の面と第二の面をもつ実質的に平面状の紙シートを与える工程であって、上記第一の面が断熱成分を収容するのに十分な構造をもつ表面を持つ工程;
b.以下の工程を含む接着剤組成物の製造工程:
i.高アミロースでんぷん成分、アルカリ性成分、架橋剤および水を混合してでんぷん混合物を形成する工程;
ii.上記高アミロースでんぷん混合物を加熱して加熱でんぷん混合物を形成する工程;
iii.上記加熱でんぷん混合物に未変性でんぷん成分を加える工程;および
iv.上記加熱でんぷん混合物に複数の膨張性マイクロスフェアを加える工程:
c.上記実質的に平面状の紙シートの第一の面の表面に上記接着剤組成物を塗布して、塗布された接着剤組成物を持つシートを形成する工程;
d.上記塗布された接着剤組成物をもつシートを、上記膨張性マイクロスフェアを膨張させるのに十分な第一の温度に加熱する工程;
e.上記塗布された接着剤組成物を持つシートを、上記接着剤組成物を完全に硬化させるのに十分な第二の温度に加熱する工程。 - 上記でんぷん成分が、上記膨張性マイクロスフェアが膨張する温度以上の温度で上記でんぷん成分の完全糊化が可能なように選ばれる請求項14の方法。
- 上記でんぷん成分が、未変性でんぷんと高アミロースでんぷんの混合物を含む請求項14の方法。
- 上記実質的に平坦な紙シートの第一の面に上記接着剤組成物を塗布する工程が、上記複数の膨張性マイクロスフェアが、点状、縞状、波状、格子状、実質的に平坦な底面を持ついずれかの一般的な多面体形状、円柱状、これらの組み合わせからなる群から選ばれる構造で塗布されるように上記接着剤組成物を塗布することを含む請求項14の方法。
- 上記第一の温度が上記接着剤組成物を完全硬化させるのに不十分である請求項14の方法。
- 上記第一の温度が約180°F〜約210°Fである請求項14の方法。
- 上記第二の温度が、上記膨張性マイクロスフェアのTexpより約20°F〜約40°F高い請求項14の方法。
