Abstract
Description
1.ガスを溶融プラスチック材料に物理的に導入し、膨張させる物理的方法。その場合、生成したガス気泡により、プラスチックが発泡する。ここでの短所は、装置および制御技術に関して複雑な要素が多く、コストも高い。複雑要素が多く、費用もかかるガス供給により発泡させるために、プラスチック成形機、例えば押出機を改造しなければならない。さらなる問題としては、プラスチックの溶融特性に関連してガスの放出と制御とをマッチさせることがある。
a)アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、アルミニウム、遷移金属および/またはアンモニウムの炭酸塩、炭酸水素塩およびカルバミン酸塩から選択される少なくとも1種の二酸化炭素担体、ならびに
b)少なくとも1種の酸担体。
ROR=温度21℃で8分間にわたる二酸化炭素担体と酸担体をある化学量論比で反応させるとき、完全な反応で理論的に求められるCO2ガス量に対する、実際に発生したCO2ガス量(mol)のパーセント表示(%CO2)
ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレン、ポリメチルペンテンならびにそれらのブロック、グラフトおよび共重合体などのポリオレフィン;標準ポリスチレン、耐衝撃性ポリスチレン、スチレンアクリロニトリル、アクリロニトリルブタジエンスチレン、アクリロニトリルスチレン、アクリルゴムなどのスチレン重合体;ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、ポリフッ化ビニル、テトラフルオロメチレン−ヘキサフルオロメチレン共重合体、エチレン−テトラフルオロエチレン共重合体、ポリクロロトリフルオロエチレン、エチレン−クロロトリフルオロエチレン共重合体、アクリル重合体、ポリアクリレート、ポリメタクリレートなどのハロゲン含有ビニル重合体;ポリオキシメチレンなどのポリアセテート;ポリアミド(PA−6、PA−66、PA−610、PA−612、PA−11、PA−12等)、ポリカーボネート、ポリエステル(例えばポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート等)、ポリイミド、ポリアリールケトン、ポリスルホン、ポリウレタン、ポリフェニレンなどの直鎖重縮合体;ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルアセテート、ポリビニルブチラール、ポリビニル安息香酸などの不飽和アルコールおよびアミンまたはそれらのアシル誘導体もしくはアセタールの重合体;フェノール樹脂、アミノ樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、不飽和ポリエステル、ポリウレタンなどの架橋重縮合体および付加重合体;セルロースエステルなどの修飾天然物質;前述のポリマー類の共重合体または混合物を含む。
200gの低密度ポリエチレン(LD−PE)をブラベンダー混練機内で溶融し、2重量%(4g)の発泡剤組成物を添加し、さらに30秒間、混練を行った。混練機を停止し、プラスチックを取り出した。同時に発泡が起こり、容積が増加、すなわち材料密度が低下した。
SAPP10 = RORが10%CO2である酸性ピロリン酸ナトリウム
SAPP28 = RORが28%CO2である酸性ピロリン酸ナトリウム
SAPP40 = RORが40%CO2である酸性ピロリン酸ナトリウム
SAS = 硫酸ナトリウムアルミニウム
MCPM = リン酸一カルシウム一水和物
DCPD = リン酸二カルシウム二水和物
200gのポリアミド66(PA66;Badamid、BADA Plast、ビュール、ドイツ)をブラベンダー混練機内で溶融し、2重量%(4g)の発泡剤組成物を添加し、さらに30秒間、混練を行った。混練機を停止し、プラスチックを取り出した。同時に発泡が起こり、容積が増加、すなわち材料密度が低下した。
低密度ポリエチレン(LD−PE)を使用する実施例1において、ここでは発泡剤組成物は20重量%のSAPP40および80重量%のSALP(=リン酸ナトリウムアルミニウム;Na3Al2H14(PO4)8)を含有していた。このRORが異なる2種の発泡酸を含む発泡剤組成物で達成された軽量化と密度は、純粋SALPで達成された軽量化と密度に相当するが、発泡酸の組み合わせで発泡したプラスチックの気泡構造の方がかなり均一であった。
Claims (13)
- 下記成分a)およびb)を含む発泡剤組成物をプラスチックマトリックスに導入し、前記発泡剤組成物から少なくとも二酸化炭素ガスを放出することにより前記プラスチックマトリックス内に気泡を形成することを特徴とする発泡プラスチック成形品の製造方法。
a)アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、アルミニウム、遷移金属および/またはアンモニウムの炭酸塩、炭酸水素塩およびカルバミン酸塩から選択される少なくとも1種の二酸化炭素担体、ならびに
b)少なくとも1種の酸担体 - 前記発泡剤組成物が、少なくとも2種の異なる酸担体を含み、それらの中では、少なくとも1種の第1酸担体(ST1)の反応率(ROR)は28%CO2未満、好ましくは20%CO2未満であり、少なくとも1種の第2酸担体(ST2)の反応率(ROR)は28%CO2を超え、好ましくは36%CO2を超え、前記RORは以下のように:
ROR=温度21℃で8分間にわたる二酸化炭素担体と酸担体をある化学量論比で反応させるとき、完全な反応で理論的に求められるCO2ガス量に対する、実際に発生したCO2ガス量(mol)のパーセント表示(%CO2)
と定義されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記発泡剤組成物が、少なくとも2種の異なる酸担体を含み、それらの中では、少なくとも1種の第1酸担体(ST1)および少なくとも1種の第2酸担体(ST2)の反応率(ROR)は、少なくとも10%CO2、好ましくは少なくとも20%CO2の差があって、RORは上記のように定義されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1種の二酸化炭素担体が、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、炭酸マグネシウム、炭酸水素マグネシウム、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸水素カルシウム、炭酸アルミニウム、炭酸水素アルミニウム、炭酸鉄、炭酸水素鉄、炭酸アンモニウム、炭酸水素アンモニウム、カルバミン酸アンモニウムおよびこれらの混合物から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1種の酸担体が、リン含有オキソアニオンの塩、好ましくはリン酸塩、縮合リン酸塩、ホスホン酸塩、亜リン酸塩、混合リン酸水酸化物およびシアヌル酸塩から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1種の酸担体が、酸性ピロリン酸ナトリウム(SAPP)、リン酸一カルシウム一水和物(MCPM)、リン酸二カルシウム二水和物(DCPD)、硫酸ナトリウムアルミニウム(SAS)、リン酸ナトリウムアルミニウム(SALP)、リン酸カルシウムマグネシウムアルミニウム、ポリリン酸カルシウム、ポリリン酸マグネシウムおよびこれらの混合物から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記プラスチックマトリックス重量に対し、0.2〜10重量%、好ましくは0.5〜6重量%、特に好ましくは1〜3重量%の前記発泡剤組成物が前記プラスチックマトリックスに導入されることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記発泡剤組成物から、少なくとも二酸化炭素ガスの放出が、80〜400℃、好ましくは110〜350℃、特に好ましくは140〜300℃の範囲の温度で起こることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記発泡剤組成物がさらに二酸化炭素担体と酸担体間の早発反応を防止または遅延させるための分離剤を含み、該分離剤がトウモロコシデンプン、コメデンプン、コムギデンプン、修飾小麦粉などの穀物デンプン;焼成ケイ酸、疎水性ケイ酸、親水性ケイ酸などの二酸化ケイ素類;リン酸三カルシウム;炭酸カルシウム;硫酸カルシウム;シラン;油脂;およびこれらの混合物から選択された、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記プラスチックが熱可塑性プラスチックであることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法により形成される発泡プラスチック成形品。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれかで定義された発泡剤組成物であって、a)アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、アルミニウム、遷移金属および/またはアンモニウムの炭酸塩、炭酸水素塩およびカルバミン酸塩から選択される少なくとも1種の二酸化炭素担体、ならびにb)少なくとも1種の酸担体を含み、粉末形態で、またはでプラスチックマトリックスに包埋された顆粒形態(マスターバッチ)である発泡剤組成物。
- 発泡プラスチック成形品を成形するための請求項12記載の発泡剤組成物の使用。
