Description
1−メチルイミダゾール化合物は、医薬、農薬、機能性材料等の中間体として有用な化合物である。
1−メチルイミダゾール化合物を製造する方法としては、グリオキサール、ホルムアルデヒド、アンモニア及びメチルアミンを液相バッチ反応させる方法により、収率70%で1−メチルイミダゾールを得る方法が知られている(特許文献1参照)。
また、0.5重量%Pd/アルミナ触媒の存在下、N−メチルエチレンジアミンとホルムアミドを気相接触反応させることにより、収率73%で1−メチルイミダゾールを得たことが記載されている(特許文献2参照)。
本発明において、ビシナルジオール化合物としては式(1):
本発明で使用するアンモニアは、工業的に入手可能なものであれば特に制限されない。
転化率(%)=反応したビシナルジオール(1)(モル)/供給したビシナルジオール(1)(モル)×100
収率(%)=反応により生成した1−メチルイミダゾール(2)(モル)/供給したビシナルジオール(1)(モル)×100
ガスクロマトグラフ:島津製作所製GC−2010
カラム:J&W社製、HP−1、50m、内径0.32mm,膜厚1.05μm
温度:50℃(3min)→(10℃/min)→160℃(6min)→(20℃/min)→300℃(3min)
内径19mmのパイレックス(登録商標)製のガラス管にH−Y型ゼオライト触媒(東ソー製(HSZ―330HUD1A))を15ml充填し、その上下にカーボランダムをそれぞれ12cm、10cm充填した。この触媒を300℃に保ち、ここに、エチレングリコール:ホルムアルデヒド:アンモニア=1:1.5:7(モル比))の混合物を、エチレングリコール基準でLHSV=0.1(g/cc−触媒・h)で0ml/minの窒素とともに上部から通過させた。生成物は100mlの水に吸収させて捕集した。反応開始後1時間が経過した時点での生成物をガスクロマトグラフィーで分析した結果、エチレングリコールの転化率は97%、1−メチルイミダゾール収率は、7%であった。
Claims (4)
- 脱水及び脱水素能を有する触媒の存在下、ビシナルジオール化合物、ホルムアルデヒド及びアンモニアを気相接触反応させることを特徴とする1−メチルイミダゾール化合物の製造方法。
- 脱水及び脱水素能を有する触媒が、ゼオライト又はアルミナである請求項1に記載の1−メチルイミダゾール化合物の製造方法。
- ゼオライト又はアルミナが、金属、金属化合物及び金属イオンからなる群より選ばれた少なくとも一種を含有するゼオライト又はアルミナであり、前記金属が周期律表第10族に属する金属、同第11族に属する金属、同第12族に属する金属及び同第14族に属する金属からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも一種の金属である請求項2に記載の1−メチルイミダゾール化合物の製造方法。
- 金属が、ニッケル、パラジウム、銀、亜鉛、錫及び鉛からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも一種の金属である請求項3に記載の1−メチルイミダゾール化合物の製造方法。
