Abstract
【解決手段】このカーボンナノファイバーは、カーボンナノファイバー原料に酸化処理を行うことによって、酸素含有量が8〜20質量%に制御されており、極性溶媒中の分散性に優れている。前記酸化処理は、好ましくは、硝酸と硫酸の混酸中の硝酸濃度比が10〜30質量%の混酸を用い、100℃以上で行われる。カーボンナノファイバー分散液は、前記カーボンナノファイバーを極性溶媒に分散させたものであり、カーボンナノファイバー組成物は、前記分散液とバインダー成分を含む。

Description
〔1〕酸化処理による酸素含有量が8〜20質量%であることを特徴とするカーボンナノファイバー。
〔2〕硝酸と硫酸の混酸中の硝酸濃度比が10〜30質量%の混酸を用い、100℃以上で酸化処理することによって酸素含有量を8〜20質量%に制御した上記[1]に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
〔3〕繊維径が1〜100nm、アスペクト比5以上、X線回折測定によるグラファイト層の[002]面の間隔が0.35nm以下である上記[1]または上記[2]に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
〔4〕前記カーボンナノファイバーを圧密体にしたときの、圧密体の体積抵抗値が1.0Ω・cm以下である上記[1]または上記[2]に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
〔5〕前記カーボンナノファイバーを圧密体にしたときの、圧密体の体積抵抗値が1.0Ω・cm以下である上記[3]に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
〔6〕繊維径は5〜50nmであり、繊維のアスペクト比は10〜1000であり、X線回折測定によるグラファイト層の[002]面の間隔は0.337〜0.345nmであり、圧密体を形成したときの圧密体の体積抵抗値は0.5Ω・cm以下であり、前記カーボンナノファイバーをXPS分析するとC−O結合のピーク定量値が2〜5%である上記[1]または上記[2]に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
〔7〕上記[1]または上記[2]に記載するカーボンナノファイバーを、極性溶媒から選ばれた一種以上の分散媒に分散させてなるカーボンナノファイバー分散液。
〔8〕上記[3]に記載するカーボンナノファイバー分散液と、バインダー成分とを含有する組成物。
〔9〕上記[1]または上記[2]に記載するカーボンナノファイバーを0.5〜8質量%、極性溶媒を32〜94.5質量%、バインダー成分を5〜60質量%含む組成物。

本発明のカーボンナノファイバーは、酸化処理による酸素含有量が8〜20質量%であることを特徴とする。好ましくは、硝酸と硫酸の混酸中の硝酸濃度比が10〜30質量%の混酸を用い、カーボンナノファイバー原料を100℃以上で酸化処理することによって酸素含有量を8〜20質量%に制御したカーボンナノファイバーである。
極性溶媒の例としては、水、エタノール、IPA、シクロヘキサノン、メチルエチルケトン、NMPが例示できる。バインダー成分としては、アクリル樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、ポリイミド樹脂、エポキシ樹脂などが例示できるが、これらに限定されない。
市販のカーボンナノファイバー(CNFと略記する。三菱マテリアル社製品、繊維径20nm、アスペクト比5以上)を原料として用い、市販の濃硝酸(濃度60質量%)および濃硫酸(濃度95質量%)を用い、表1に示す条件にて表面酸化処理を行い、酸素含有量を制御した表面処理CNFを得た。酸化処理の結果を表1に示す。酸素含有量は不活性ガス搬送融解赤外線吸収法によって測定した。
表1のCNFを乾燥して粉末化し、その粉末をエタノールに混合し、ビーズミルを使用してエタノール分散液を調製した。分散液のCNF含有量を表2に示す。この分散液に乾燥塗膜固形分中のCNF含有量が4.5質量%になるようにアクリル樹脂溶液を混合して塗料組成物を調製した。この塗料組成物中の極性溶媒は68.6質量%、カーボンナノファイバーは1.4質量%、バインダー成分は30質量%であった。この塗料組成物を、バーコーターを用いて、厚さ100μmのポリエステルフィルムの表面に塗工量0.25g/m2になるように塗布し、80℃で3分間乾燥して塗膜を作製した。

- 硝酸と硫酸の混酸中の硝酸濃度比が10〜30質量%の混酸を用い、100℃以上で酸化処理することによって酸素含有量を8〜20質量%に制御した請求項1に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
- 繊維径が1〜100nm、アスペクト比5以上、X線回折測定によるグラファイト層の[002]面の間隔が0.35nm以下である請求項1または請求項2に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
- 前記カーボンナノファイバーを圧密体にしたときの、圧密体の体積抵抗値が1.0Ω・cm以下である請求項1または請求項2に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
- 前記カーボンナノファイバーを圧密体にしたときの、圧密体の体積抵抗値が1.0Ω・cm以下である請求項3に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
- 繊維径は5〜50nmであり、繊維のアスペクト比は10〜1000であり、X線回折測定によるグラファイト層の[002]面の間隔は0.337〜0.345nmであり、圧密体を形成したときの圧密体の体積抵抗値は0.5Ω・cm以下であり、前記カーボンナノファイバーをXPS分析するとC−O結合のピーク定量値が2〜5%である請求項1または請求項2に記載するカーボンナノファイバー。
- 請求項1または請求項2に記載するカーボンナノファイバーを、極性溶媒から選ばれた一種以上の分散媒に分散させてなるカーボンナノファイバー分散液。
- 請求項3に記載するカーボンナノファイバー分散液と、バインダー成分とを含有する組成物。
- 請求項1または請求項2に記載するカーボンナノファイバーを0.5〜8質量%、極性溶媒を32〜94.5質量%、バインダー成分を5〜60質量%含む組成物。
- 請求項8に記載する組成物によって形成された導電性塗膜。
