Description
〔1〕酸素含有量が0.1〜0.5質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを、硝酸と硫酸の混酸であって硝酸濃度比が10〜30質量%の混酸に浸漬し、カーボンナノファイバーの酸素含有量が12〜20質量%になるように上記混酸の硝酸濃度比とカーボンナノファイバーの量比を調整し、液温100℃以上で表面酸化処理することによって酸素含有量が12〜20質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを製造する方法。
〔2〕繊維径1〜100nm、アスペクト比5以上、X線回折測定によるグラファイト層の[002]面の間隔が0.35nm以下であって、圧密体にしたときの該圧密体の体積抵抗値が1.0Ω・cm以下であって、XPS分析によるC−O結合のピーク定量値が2〜5%であるカーボンナノファイバーを製造する請求項1に記載するカーボンナノファイバーの製造方法。
〔3〕上記[1]または上記[2]の何れかの方法によって製造された酸素含有量が12〜20質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを、極性溶媒から選ばれた一種以上の分散媒に分散させるカーボンナノファイバー分散液の製造方法。
〔4〕上記[3]の方法で製造されたカーボンナノファイバー分散液に、バインダー成分を加えて組成物を製造する方法。
〔5〕上記[1]または上記[2]の何れかの方法によって製造された酸素含有量が12〜20質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを0.5〜8質量%、極性溶媒を32〜94.5質量%、バインダー成分を5〜60質量%加えて組成物を製造する方法。
本発明の製造方法は、酸素含有量が0.1〜0.5質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを、硝酸と硫酸の混酸であって硝酸濃度比が10〜30質量%の混酸に浸漬し、カーボンナノファイバーの酸素含有量が12〜20質量%になるように上記混酸の硝酸濃度比とカーボンナノファイバーの量比を調整し、液温100℃以上で表面酸化処理することによって酸素含有量が12〜20質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを製造する方法である。以下、本発明の方法によって製造したカーボンナノファイバーを本発明のカーボンナノファイバーとも云う。
極性溶媒の例としては、水、エタノール、IPA、シクロヘキサノン、メチルエチルケトン、NMPが例示できる。バインダー成分としては、アクリル樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、ポリイミド樹脂、エポキシ樹脂などが例示できるが、これらに限定されない。
市販のカーボンナノファイバー(CNFと略記する。三菱マテリアル社製品、繊維径20nm、アスペクト比5以上)を原料として用い、市販の濃硝酸(濃度60質量%)および濃硫酸(濃度95質量%)を用い、表1に示す条件にて表面酸化処理を行い、酸素含有量を制御した表面処理CNFを得た。酸化処理の結果を表1に示す。酸素含有量は不活性ガス搬送融解赤外線吸収法によって測定した。
表1のCNFを乾燥して粉末化し、その粉末をエタノールに混合し、ビーズミルを使用してエタノール分散液を調製した。分散液のCNF含有量を表2に示す。この分散液に乾燥塗膜固形分中のCNF含有量が4.5質量%になるようにアクリル樹脂溶液を混合して塗料組成物を調製した。この塗料組成物中の極性溶媒は68.6質量%、カーボンナノファイバーは1.4質量%、バインダー成分は30質量%であった。この塗料組成物を、バーコーターを用いて、厚さ100μmのポリエステルフィルムの表面に塗工量0.25g/m2になるように塗布し、80℃で3分間乾燥して塗膜を作製した。

- 酸素含有量が0.1〜0.5質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを、硝酸と硫酸の混酸であって硝酸濃度比が10〜30質量%の混酸に浸漬し、カーボンナノファイバーの酸素含有量が12〜20質量%になるように上記混酸の硝酸濃度比とカーボンナノファイバーの量比を調整し、液温100℃以上で表面酸化処理することによって酸素含有量が12〜20質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを製造する方法。
- 繊維径1〜100nm、アスペクト比5以上、X線回折測定によるグラファイト層の[002]面の間隔が0.35nm以下であって、圧密体にしたときの該圧密体の体積抵抗値が1.0Ω・cm以下であって、XPS分析によるC−O結合のピーク定量値が2〜5%であるカーボンナノファイバーを製造する請求項1に記載するカーボンナノファイバーの製造方法。
- 請求項1または請求項2の何れかの方法によって製造された酸素含有量が12〜20質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを、極性溶媒から選ばれた一種以上の分散媒に分散させるカーボンナノファイバー分散液の製造方法。
- 請求項3の方法で製造されたカーボンナノファイバー分散液に、バインダー成分を加えて組成物を製造する方法。
- 請求項1または2の何れかの方法によって製造された酸素含有量が12〜20質量%のカーボンナノファイバーを0.5〜8質量%、極性溶媒を32〜94.5質量%、バインダー成分を5〜60質量%加えて組成物を製造する方法。
