Abstract
【解決手段】式(I)で示される化合物、その塩、及びその遷移金属錯体より選択される少なくとも1種の二色性色素を吸着し、延伸されてなるポリビニルアルコール樹脂フィルムからなり、該ポリビニルアルコール樹脂フィルムの重合度が5000乃至10000であることを特徴とする偏光素子。
(式中、Aはニトロ基もしくはアミノ基を示し、R1、R2は各々独立に、水素原子、ヒドロキシル基、低級アルキル基、低級アルコキシ基、スルホ基、又はスルホ基を有する低級アルコキシ基を示し、Xは置換基を有してもよいベンゾイルアミノ基、置換基を有してもよいフェニルアミノ基、置換基を有してもよいフェニルアゾ基、である。)

Description
(1)式(I)で示される化合物、その塩、及びその遷移金属錯体より選択される少なくとも1種の二色性色素を吸着し、延伸されてなるポリビニルアルコール樹脂フィルムからなり、該ポリビニルアルコール樹脂フィルムの重合度が5000乃至10000であることを特徴とする偏光素子、
(2)二色性色素が、式(II)で示される化合物、その塩、及びその遷移金属錯体より選択される(1)に記載の偏光素子、
(3)遷移金属錯体が、銅錯体である、(1)又は(3)に記載の偏光素子、
(4)膨潤度が200%乃至240%である原反フィルムを用いて得られることを特徴とする、(1)乃至(3)のいずれか1に記載の偏光素子、
(5)(1)乃至(4)のいずれか1に記載の偏光素子の少なくとも一方の面に透明保護層を設けることを特徴とする偏光板、
(6)(1)乃至(4)のいずれかに記載の偏光素子又は(5)に記載の偏光板を含む液晶表示装置、及び、
(7)(1)乃至(4)のいずれか1に記載の偏光素子又は(5)に記載の偏光板を含む液晶プロジェクター
に関する。
4−ニトロ−4’−アミノスチルベン−2,2’−ジスルホン酸ソーダ57.7部を公知の方法によりジアゾ化し、酢酸ソーダを中和剤として使用し2,5−ジメトキシ−アニリン18.7部を塩酸水溶液に溶解したものにカップリングした。カップリング反応後、塩酸で酸析し、乾燥することによって67.9部の次式のモノアゾ化合物を得た。
化合物1のフェニルJ酸を、6−(4’−アミノ−3’−スルホフェニルアミノ)−1−ナフトール−3−スルホン酸に変えた以外は上記と同様にして、化合物例10に示される化合物を得た。
化合物例1のジスアゾ化合物75.3部を1200部の水に溶解し、硫酸銅5水和物の20重量%水溶液110部、N,N−ジエタノールアミン60部、25%アンモニア水15部を加え95℃で8時間処理した。少量の塩酸でこの反応液をpH9.0とし液容量に対して12重量%サヌキ塩を加え、蒸発乾固して、化合物13例に示される銅錯塩化合物を得た。
化合物例1の化合物を化合物例10の化合物に変えた以外は上記化合物例13の合成方法と同様に、化合物例16に示される銅錯塩化合物を得た。
化合物例1のフェニルJ酸を、6−フェニルアミノ−1−ナフトール−3−スルホン酸から以下の式
実施例1で用いた化合物例1に代えて、下記式(B1)で示される色素で行った以外は実施例1と同様にサンプル作製を行い測定試料とした。
実施例1で用いた化合物例1に代えて、下記式(B2)で示される色素で行った以外は実施例1と同様にサンプル作製を行い測定試料とした。
実施例1で用いた化合物例1に代えて、下記式(B3)で示される色素で行った以外は同様にサンプル作製を行い測定試料とした。
実施例1で用いた化合物例1に代えて、下記式(B4)で示される色素で行った以外は実施例1と同様にサンプル作製を行い測定試料とした。
Claims (7)
- 式(I)で示される化合物、その塩、及びその遷移金属錯体より選択される少なくとも1種の二色性色素を吸着し、延伸されてなるポリビニルアルコール樹脂フィルムからなり、該ポリビニルアルコール樹脂フィルムの重合度が5000乃至10000であることを特徴とする偏光素子。
- 前記遷移金属錯体が、銅錯体である、請求項1又は2に記載の偏光素子。
- 膨潤度が200%乃至240%である原反フィルムを用いて得られることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の偏光素子。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の偏光素子の少なくとも一方の面に透明保護層を設けることを特徴とする偏光板。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の偏光素子又は請求項5に記載の偏光板を含む液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の偏光素子又は請求項5に記載の偏光板を含む液晶プロジェクター。
