Abstract
Description

前記多孔壁は、約200cpsi(約31セル/平方センチメートル)未満のセル密度、約14ミル(約0.36mm)未満の壁厚、約13マイクロメートル〜約20マイクロメートルの範囲のメジアン細孔径、約45%を超える全多孔率、および10マイクロメートル未満の細孔が約10%未満の多孔率を提供するような細孔径分布を有する。
入口端、出口端、および流体が前記入口端から前記出口端まで流れるように配置および構成された複数のチャネルを備えた微粒子フィルタを提供し、ここで、
前記チャネルは、微粒子を捕捉するように構成された多孔壁によって画成され、
前記微粒子フィルタは、500℃の温度および1400m3/時間の流体流速で微粒子フィルタを通じて流れる流体が、1.7kPa以下の入口端から出口端に至る低い清浄時圧力損失;約3.4kPa/(スート密度のg/L)以下の勾配で規定される、深層ろ過段階の間の微粒子フィルタの微粒子負荷に対する低い圧力損失応答;および、約0.9kPa/(スート密度のg/L)より大きい勾配で規定される、ケーク層ろ過段階の間の微粒子フィルタの微粒子負荷に対する急勾配の圧力損失応答を示すように構成される。

Claims (6)
- 入口端、出口端、および、流体が前記入口端から前記出口端まで流れるように配置および構成された複数のチャネルを備えた微粒子フィルタであって、
前記チャネルが微粒子物質を捕捉するように構成された多孔壁によって画成され、
前記多孔壁が、
約200cpsi未満のセル密度、
約14ミル未満の壁厚、
約13マイクロメートル〜約20マイクロメートルの範囲のメジアン細孔径、
約45%を超える全多孔率、および
10マイクロメートル未満の細孔が約10%未満の多孔率を提供する細孔径分布
を有することを特徴とする、微粒子フィルタ。 - 前記全多孔率が約45%〜約60%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の微粒子フィルタ。
- 前記メジアン細孔径が約13マイクロメートル〜約16マイクロメートルの範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の微粒子フィルタ。
- 入口端、出口端、および、流体が前記入口端から前記出口端まで流れるように配置および構成された複数のチャネルを備えた微粒子フィルタであって、
前記チャネルが、微粒子物質を捕捉するように構成された多孔壁によって画成され、
500℃の温度および1400m3/時間の流体流速で微粒子フィルタを通じて流れる流体が、
約1.7kPa以下の入口端から出口端に至る低い清浄時圧力損失、
約3.4kPa/(スート密度のg/L)以下の勾配で規定される、深層ろ過段階の間の微粒子フィルタの微粒子負荷に対する低い圧力損失応答、および
約0.9kPa/(スート密度のg/L)より大きい勾配で規定される、ケーク層ろ過段階の間の微粒子フィルタの微粒子負荷に対する急勾配の圧力損失応答
を示すように、前記微粒子フィルタが構成される
ことを特徴とする微粒子フィルタ。 - 前記低い清浄時圧力損失が、異なる排ガス温度、および、オイラー数とレイノルズ数の掛け算に基づいた排ガス流速で計算されることを特徴とする請求項4記載の微粒子フィルタ。
- 深層ろ過段階の間の微粒子フィルタの微粒子負荷に対する低い圧力損失応答および、ケーク層ろ過段階の間の微粒子フィルタの微粒子負荷に対する急勾配の圧力損失応答が、異なる排ガス温度およびオイラー数、レイノルズ数およびStokes−Cunningham補正因子の掛け算に基づいた排ガス流速で計算されることを特徴とする請求項4記載の微粒子フィルタ。
