Claims (22)

  1. ポリマー滅菌のための方法であって、
    a)周囲温度より低い温度に冷却した、実質的にコラーゲンを含まない粒状又は多孔性の水和可能なゲル形成ポリマーを提供し、そして、
    b)前記冷却したポリマーを、電離放射線を用いて滅菌して、滅菌ポリマーを提供することを含む方法
  2. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、電離放射線を用いて周囲温度で滅菌した他の同様なポリマーよりもポリマー鎖切断が少ない方法
  3. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、滅菌されていない他の同様なポリマーよりも高い多分散性を有する方法
  4. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、電子ビームを用いて滅菌され、周囲温度で電子ビームを用いて滅菌された他の同様なポリマーよりも高い多分散性を有する方法
  5. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、電子ビームを用いて滅菌され、周囲温度で電子ビームを用いて滅菌した他の同様なポリマーよりも高い重量平均分子量を有する方法
  6. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、滅菌前の対応する重量平均又は数平均分子量の少なくとも60%の重量平均又は数平均分子量を有する方法
  7. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、滅菌前の対応する重量平均又は数平均分子量の少なくとも70%の重量平均又は数平均分子量を有する方法
  8. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、滅菌前の対応する重量平均又は数平均分子量の少なくとも80%の重量平均又は数平均分子量を有する方法
  9. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、滅菌前のポリマーよりも少なくとも2%大きい多分散性指数を有する方法
  10. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、滅菌前のポリマーよりも少なくとも4%大きい多分散性指数を有する方法
  11. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが、滅菌前のポリマーよりも少なくとも8%大きい多分散性指数を有する方法
  12. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが粒子である方法
  13. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーが砕片化されていない方法
  14. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーを用いて調製されたハイドロゲルが噴霧可能であり、噴霧した場合にゲルを形成する方法
  15. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記滅菌ポリマーがスポンジである方法
  16. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記ポリマーが多糖を含む方法
  17. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記ポリマーがキトサンを含む方法
  18. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記ポリマーがキトサン及び別の多糖の混合物を含む方法
  19. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記ポリマーがキトサン及びカルボキシメチルセルロースの混合物を含む方法
  20. 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記ポリマーがポリエチレングリコールを含む方法
  21. 無菌の粘着性ポリマーハイドロゲルを含む医療用デバイスであって、該無菌のポリマーの多分散性指数が未滅菌の場合のポリマーのものより大きいか、又は該無菌のポリマーの重量平均又は数平均分子量が電離放射線を用いて周囲温度にて滅菌した場合のポリマーのそれぞれ重量平均又は数平均分子量より大きい医療用デバイス。
  22. 処理法であって、
    a)無菌の水和可能なゲル形成ポリマーであって、その多分散性指数が未滅菌の場合のポリマーのものより大きいか、又はその重量平均又は数平均分子量が電離放射線を用いて周囲温度にて滅菌した場合のポリマーのそれぞれ重量平均又は数平均分子量より大きいポリマーを、水和させて、それにより、粘着性ハイドロゲルを形成し、そして、
    b)前記粘着性ハイドロゲルの層を、組織又は他の体構造上に注入又は噴霧すること
    を含む方法
