Description

上記のリチウムイオン二次電池用負極の製造方法は、(S1)カーボネート系有機溶媒にLiPFを溶解させた電解液に負極を浸漬させて3電極セルまたは2電極セルを形成する段階、及び(S2)前記セルに電圧または電流を印加して前記負極の表面にLiF系粒子からなるコーティング層を形成する段階を含み、それぞれの段階は水分環境(a moisture circumstance:水分(湿気、湿潤)の状況(環境))下で行われることを特徴とする。
通常有機溶媒を使用する電解液において、有機といっても微量の水分が含まれることは避けられない。本発明においては、電解液に本来含まれている水分の外に、さらに水分環境下で負極を製造することが負極表面のコーティング層の形成により効果的である。コーティング層が最もよく形成され得る水分環境は、水分の濃度が50〜2、000重量ppmであるが、これに限定されることはない。

Claims (3)

  1. リチウムイオン二次電池用負極の製造方法であって、
    前記リチウムイオン二次電池用負極が、
    負極と、
    前記負極の表面にLiF系粒子で形成されたコーティング層とを備えてなり、
    前記LiF系コーティング層の厚さが0.05μm〜1μmであり、
    (S1)カーボネート系有機溶媒にLiPFを溶解させた電解液に負極を浸漬させて3電極セルまたは2電極セルを形成する段階と、
    (S2)前記セルに電圧を印加して前記負極の表面にLiF系粒子で形成されたコーティング層を形成する段階とを含んでなり、
    それぞれの段階が、50重量ppm〜1、000重量ppmの水分を含んでなる水分環境下で行われてなり、
    前記(S2)段階で、LiF系粒子からなるコーティング層を0.05μm〜1μmの厚さで形成してなる、リチウムイオン二次電池用負極の製造方法。
  2. 前記カーボネート系有機溶媒が、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、ジメチルカーボネート、ジエチルカーボネート、メチルプロピルカーボネート、エチルプロピルカーボネート、エチルメチルカーボネート、ブチレンカーボネート及びフッ素化ビニルカーボネートからなる群より選択されてなる一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物である、請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池用負極の製造方法。
  3. 前記(S2)段階において、3電極セルまたは2電極セルに印加される電圧が0.1V〜3V(vs.Li/Li)である、請求項1又は2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池用負極の製造方法。
